AllAccess has this listed as going for adds April 27.
Um... why? Isn't this a few years old already? And kinda a stupid song, unless you're actually at a club linedancing to it?

hahaaha, good. I hope this makes the Top 40. This got to number 44 or 45 in 2001 about the exact same time. Pretty funny....their is really no telling how this will do, but don't expect anything big.

I remember doing that dance at my end-of-the-year dance in 8th grade! Slide to the left!

To those who don't read the Global Music Forum, it was recently released in the U.K. under the artist name DJ Casper (the same guy). I wonder how many weeks it spent on the Billboard Hot 100 the first time. I remember with "The Star-Spangled Banner" by Whitney Houston or somebody after September 11, Billboard continued the chart run from when the song was on the chart years ago.

I wonder how many weeks it spent on the Billboard Hot 100 the first time.Β It never charted on the Hot 100. Perhaps it charted on the sales chart. The kids up here love it, it could be a song that draws much younger audiences back to radio.

Actually there were 2 versions of this song released on the same day, and I think this one may be the version that flopped.

If 2 Unlimited could re-release the three-year-old "Get Ready for This" back in '95 and Chubby Checker re-released "The Twist" two years later, this can happen.

I remember this song!
It was really fun, catchy and the video was hilarious!
It won't do much, but it might be fun to hear again...
I never heard it on the radio, just saw the video on BET...
It's the same guy who did it a few years ago right?

It's amazing how the kids respond to this song. I DJ youth dances at the local YMCA and when we play this, it's always the highlight of the night. I can't wait to see how it does at radio.

I do remember when Chubby Checker appeared on the remake with the Fat Boys in 1988. Did the re-release make the chart?

Actually, I think this is a different version than the one that came out a few years ago. Recently the original version hit #1 in the UK, but I remembered reading about a copycat version by another guy that charted the same week somewhere in the #40s. Supposedly they are very similar.

Didn't it hit #1 in 1960 and again in 1962?
Imagine the same song hitting #1 twice in two different years by the same artist! LOL! ... wait... Britney Spears did it! Ooops!

People just love this song at the dances! I think it's quite catchy, but it's not something I would play on the radio.
