Wait a second.....how are we already at the end of April :o
At the top of the chart....... Usher loses his bullet (-51), although Maroon 5's loss is -165.
Britney Spears begins to tumble as predicted, with a (-753), this could grow over the week. D12 down into the +800s, I want to see this get down into the +400s at least by the end of the week.
Hoobastank has maintained their +700s bullet, which is now nearing +800. All the other great gainers in the Top 20 (Mario Winans, Usher, Beyonce, D12, Jessica Simpson, J-Kwon) have seen a decrease in their bullet since a few days ago.
Cassidy loses his bullet :'( :'( :'( :'( (without going Top 10)
Black Eyed Peas continue to move on up with "Hey Mama." with a +340 bullet :o. They should be at #15 at least by the end of the week, if they keep their bullet over +300. I think part of this might be coming from payola. I see adds for this song on tv and radio.
Avril Lavigne keeps chugging along, could make it to #17 by the end of the week.
There's a chance Blink 182 might make Top 20 this week and even #19, if they can pass both Kimberley Locke and Nickelback (who would need to fall faster.)
Switchfoot could be done this week. Should have made Top 10 2 months ago. >:(
At the bottom of the chart
Yellowcard, Sean Paul, Jay-Z are exploding all of the sudden! All ready to break +600!! :o Where did this come from? I hope Yellowcard becomes a Stacy's Mom and explodes into the Top 5....that would be truly awesome. The top part of the chart is lacking good, rising alternative/rock songs anyway...so this better happen!
Los Lonely Boys and Gavin DeGraw enter the Top 50. Ying Yang Twins regain bullet. Five For Fighting definitely done. (-74)

*prays that Jessica Simpson doesn't get another top 10*
I was fine with With You, but Take My Breath Away? Nahhh...
J-Kwon's gonna have to settle for top 5. I think he'll make it to #5 before losing his bullet completely.
Looks like #1 in the next 10 weeks is going to be very, very competitive.
I'm rooting for Dirt Off Your Shoulder to get a top 10. It's doing really well to start off.
Can Hey Mama go top 15? I don't think it'll make it, but it's done better than I expected :)

I'm really disappointed that Rooney didn't get the legs that Yellowcard did.
Rooney has a great pop song there, and it looks like it has hit a wall. That's really too bad. I'm happy about Yellowcard, but Rooney ought to be there too.

I am happy about the Black Eyed Peas getting another hit on their hands here. I still don't understand why "Shut Up" couldn't do anything here despite being #1 for 15 weeks on the EuroChart 100. But "Elephunk" has suddenly re-emerged, went platinum, and the future looks bright for this group. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

My thoughts for this week:
* Mario Winans explodes! I find this a bit peculiar considering it's a rather slow song for CHR/Pop, but it's tolerable to listen to. Yay for Enya being part of another big hit!
* Either Usher will have a massive run of possibly up to seven weeks at #1 or Maroon 5 can hold their place and suddenly take #1 for three or four weeks by default of "Burn" and "Confessions: Part II".
* Cassidy will be the latest #11 victim.
* What the heck happened to Jet? I thought they were a shoo-in for Top 10 with rising sales, commerical exposure via movie commericals and Apple, a Rolling Stone feature and success among many different formats, but not only did they fail to go #15, not only are they losing many spins, but they likely also won't go recurrent! What stopped Jet? It seems obvious to me "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" couldn't have been payolaed! :o
* Avril Lavigne at best can outpeak "Losing Grip", but with many stations and a low bullet, "Don't Tell Me" is well done for.
* I am shocked Yellowcard is surging! I figured they'd do alright on CHR/Pop but failing to even go Top 20 on Alternative, I didn't expect this to become a likely Top 20 hit!
* Kate Hudson's sister Sarah is rising onto the scene with "Girl On The Verge"! +130!
* How could Five For Fighting be through? This is the most unforgiving flop in recent memory along with "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" and "Heaven" by Live. It is #1 on AC, Top 3 on Hot AC, so why isn't "100 Years" getting attention here?
* Los Lonely Boys may be the ultimate dark horse here. They're now in Top 50 stardom, but can they go Top 40?
* Talk about second chances! Both "I'm Still In Love With You" and "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" are surging, both of which hovered around near the bottom and appeared to be forgotten, but were raised from the dead.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

* Los Lonely Boys may be the ultimate dark horse here. They're now in Top 50 stardom, but can they go Top 40? Now that you mention that, who the hell are they? Same question for Mis-teeq. Maroon 5 to #1? Unfortunately, by this point, there's no chance in hell - not unless "Yeah" 's bullet sees instant free-fall. I'm glad to see D-12's bullet out of 4-digits, but it needs to keep going down. Then it needs to get out of sight just as quickly as it came in. Take My Breath Away to Top 10? Maybe in the end, but I dunno about this week. Is the end near for Three Days Grace? Frankly, I don't understand how it got THIS far. (Other than one reason, and it starts with an N) Ying Yang Twins with a bullet again? NO!! >:( And below the chart... I'm a bit surprised to see Lenny with a bullet of +318. Uh-oh - Kylie down to +67...I don't think this will end up charting. Too bad. And why does it look like a bunch of songs either were removed or dropped below 30 spins lately?

>Ugh, Jessica is going to have another hit w/ TMBA? Very dissapointed over this. >Blink 182 doing very well, +300. , I see them going Top 20 by the end of the week. >D12 slowing down slightly, always good for an over-rated song. Lets hope the same happens to J-Kwon and "Tipsy". >Evanescence losing their bullet fast, very dissapointed over this. :( >And Mario Winans with a +1077 bullet!? So large for such an awful song, Enya didn't have a large enough role I think in it. >Very surprised that Sean Paul's new single doing this well after this long. :o

My Immortal has spent 16 weeks in the top 40. 100 Years did like Fallen big on other formats, but not POP. This Love keeps loseing, it looks like it won't regain it's bullet and may never make it to #1 and not be the big big hit on the end of year charts. Who is #1 so far for the year- Toxic, The Way You Move, With You or some other song? 8th World Wonder gets into the top 20 - but with a small bullet Take My Breath away is not a good song, either way it may be able to hit top 10 if she gains +500 and One Call Away loses -500 other wise she will get passed 2 weeks from now. If With You was the first hit would Sweetest Sin go #1 and With You flop?

I personally think that both With You and Sweetest Sin would have done better as a whole had they been released that way (With You #1 and Sweetest #2)and even though I don't like TMBA, I would release that 3rd.
Why didn't Kate just go for it herself? Doesn't she have a song that she's done? I could have sworn I've heard something about that.

Rank Artist Title Total Spins 1 OUTKAST The Way You Move 102998 2 JESSICA SIMPSON With You 102854 3 BRITNEY SPEARS Toxic 98251 I assume that's from the Mediabase year-to-date chart. The chart I've been maintaining all year, taken from the individual R&R charts that count toward the 2004 year-end, goes as follows: # Artist Title Spins 1 OUTKAST Hey Ya 121376 2 OUTKAST The Way You Move 118842 3 JESSICA SIMPSON With You 114748 4 NICKELBACK Someday 113413 5 BRITNEY SPEARS Toxic 101236 6 EVANESCENCE My Immortal 97591 7 3 DOORS DOWN Here Without You 94845 8 BABY BASH Suga Suga 93849 9 LINKIN PARK Numb 87948 10 USHER Yeah (f/Ludacris & L... 81650 11 NO DOUBT It's My Life 80039 12 SIMPLE PLAN Perfect 73242 13 MAROON 5 This Love 69975 14 EAMON F**k It (I Don't Wan... 66894 Chart run for "My Immortal": 43 37 30 23 17 14 12 8 7 5 4 3 2 2 3 4 4 4

Hmm, looks like one CHR/Pop station must run 20: The Countdown Magazine" or something, as I see songs like "Leaving 99" by Audio Adrenaline, "Beautiful Name" by ZoeGirl, and "Right Here" by Jeremy Camp. Seems to me that, a few years back, Jeffster from the old R&R boards mentioned that there was a non-religious station that ran that show. But I think it may have been an AC station that he was talking about.

Haha, Beyoncé will never catch up with Hoobastank now!
I'm not surprised to see J-Kwon start to stall now. That was where both Chingy Top 10 singles started to lose steam.
And I'm glad that Mario Winans and Usher will definitely stop Jessica Simpson from getting 2 simultaneous Top 10s.

I'm glad to see Avril back up to +212! I hope "Don't Tell Me" will at least go top 15. Jessica Simpson is really burning fast. Sean Paul and Jay-Z seem to appear out of nowhere, at least Yellowcard is keeping up with the competition, this song could go top 10! Trapt continues to slowly build, #56, +175, its kind of disappointing that this song didn't do too well at the rock formats. Lost Prophets are also seeing some nice gains. The more I hear Hanson and Alanis Morissette the more I think these songs should be hits but probably won't be.

I'm glad to see Avril back up to +212! I hope "Don't Tell Me" will at least go top 15. The real good news for Avril is that no one is currently threatening to overtake her. So even if she loses her bullet next week, (assuming the loss is minimal) she should be able to reach the Top 15 at the very least. Edit: Jet is losing fast! I'm glad Sheryl Crow isn't free-falling like other non-rap slow rising songs have done (Fuel, Stacie Orrico, Intuition...)

Maroon 5 will more than likely make #1, Usher is not going to stay up there much longer, I predict his losses to really start dropping over the next 2 weeks. Maroon 5 should be able to get at least 2 weeks at #1 if not more. There is no way that Usher will last another 4 weeks at the top which is an estimate of how many weeks it would take Hoobastank to get there. I hope Jay-Z doesn't come anywhere close to the top 10, but it's springtime. The chance of Avril hitting the top 10 is going back up, I still think she can make it eventually, she has slowly been picking up over the past few days, maybe part of it's because of the single is finally out. Liz Phair was starting to pick up and now it's back down to +117, this should be a hit!

:o Britney sure did jump off a cliff! However, I hope "Everytime" explodes. What a pretty song. :) Maroon5 will take #1 from Usher and stay there. D12 will peak at #2. The next #1 race will be between Beyonce, Hoobastank, and Mario Winans. One of them will slow down and peak at #3 (I'm guessing Beyonce, because the song isn't that great.) What happened to "Take My Breath Away"? This is 500 times better than With You and deserves at least a Top 5 peak. Black Eyed Peas "Hey Mama" could even make #14 ( :o :o ) by the end of the week....now that "Hotel" is falling fast.....which angers be in a way because I wanted "Hotel" to make the Top 10. Nickelback, Linkin Park, and Outkast are all getting very close to becoming recurrent. The only one that could happen this week is Nickelback's "Someday," and I'm not even sure if that is going to happen. Blink 182's bullet has been slowly decreasing since Monday >:( I wish the best for Sean Paul, Jay-Z, Yellowcard...who are doing quite well. I'm happy Sheryl isn't falling fast, but I wish Sarah Connor would fall faster than -601! And Jet at -1050!! :o >:( This should have gone Top 10. Three Days Grace lost their bullet, with a good peak of #28 (not bad for this crossover), Simple Plan looked as if they might as well, but they are holding on. DWTAY is just as good as Perfect, Addicted, and IDA. Jojo is in the Top 40? What kind of a joke is this?? She's freakin 14......and the song is so retarded it's not even funny...who wants to hear about some middle school breakup? --Oh and it really bothers me how she says "but you was just a waste of time" in the song. Can't she just say were? At the very bottom of the chart.....Looks like Gavin DeGraw might not make the chart anyway this week...... Los Lonely Boys, Trapt, and Lenny Kravitz I must wish the best for! These are all AWESOME rock songs and we need to get these to the Top 10. Enoguh of Usher Beyonce J-Kwon Chingy and Eminem...we need real music. "Red Blooded Woman" lost its bullet. Too bad for Kylie. I never heard this song though.

She's 12, actually. And I agree that the song is really bad.
Rooney's down 8 spins from yesterday. :(

yay! look at Britney's bullet sink. She has the second highest bullet lost (after duff) in the top 40. Actually, it's Jet that loses more spins (-1050). Hilary Duff only lost 615 spins. And I'm so glad Maroon 5 regained their bullet. They should be able to take the top spot for at least a week. I'm surprised Usher isn't losing spins any faster than he is, seeing that "Burn" is quickly approaching the Top Ten.
