Hmm, Avril's spin count is actually up over 80 spins since yesterday. If you multiply that by 7, that's close to +600 spins :o.
It may be a possibility after all for her to get top 10, and like Dee said up there, she's performing on SNL next week and that could possibly boost her as well.

Although now that an adds date for her second single has been announced, some stations might want to stop playing her current single so as to ensure enough breathing room in between singles. By the way, according to Mediabase, Gold refers to songs 2 years and older. www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/mmrhelp/start.htmGRC Analysis "GRC" Definition: Percentage (%) of "Gold" (songs 2 years old or more) spins vs. "Current" vs. "Recurrent" spins, broken down by individual Mediabase monitored station. Quickly and easily see which stations play the most "Currents" vs. "Recurrents" vs. "Gold" within their overall playlist as compared to other stations within the same Market and/or Format.

LOL, OK I guess when they said "Mediabase 24/7 gives you the most current, accurate airplay data in the industry. " on the first page, they weren't referring to their Help / User Guide pages.

Clearly, something ain't right here...
Um...so songs like "Ride Wit Me" and "Family Affair" are still recurrent because...?
How long has it been now since this rule was abandoned? A couple years at this point, hasn't it?

Final Update:
Top 40 debuts:
Everytime - Britney Spears Heaven - Los Lonely Boys (two excellent songs)
Droppers:
The First Cut is the Deepest - Sheryl Crow I'm Shakin' - Rooney
(Sheryl was way overplayed and Rooney was way underplayed)

Like 2 1/2 years. Not to mention that recurrent rule lasted for 3 months, if that. That recurrent rule, the most idiotic of them all, started with the August 10, 2001 chart. Due to several songs getting cheated out of what could have been a much longer chart run ("Pop" by 'N Sync being the most noticeable) while songs that had been on for longer than 20 weeks that would have been gone with other recurrent rules ("Drive" by Incubus, anyone?), the rule was dropped as of the November 2, 2001 chart. Or maybe that was just the last chart with that rule - whatever it was, it lasted almost exactly three months. Then they brought back the 20/20 rule (or 20/15 in the case of Top 30 charts). Actually, the A/C chart had this rule for awhile longer. I believe it started (actually resumed - more on that in a moment) in March, 2001, due to the 20/20 rule allowing old songs to clog up the lower part of the Top 20. With this liberal rule, there were almost not enough songs charting within the 2000 and 2001 chart year to make up a Top 100 list. The A/C chart had the 20/20 rule going for not even two years. That rule started with the debut of R&R using Mediabase to compile their surveys. Before then, it was the 15/-3 rule, only they didn't stick to the rule very well. It stated that a song had to be below number 15 and losing plays all three weeks. But a song could spent three weeks at number 15 and then be removed the next week. So the rule should have said "...at or below #15...", but even if it had, there were still errors. Several songs regained their bullet at one point below number 15, but were still removed. So the A/C editor was obviously not reading or stating the rule correctly.
