You rang? ;)
Sticky, please!
As mentioned, Hanson is bound for the Top 50. Usher's already in for the third time.
Outkast is the only one going recurrent (it's practically a given that they'll end up below 20), right?
BEP will take #11, but will they end up in the Top 10 by Sunday? It's not certain.
Whoa! Is D-12 done already (+30)? :o

Thank god D12 is done....and Kiss 108 just put this one in the 80s this week too...
Hoobastank should make it to the top - and I think Beyonce will slow down at peak at #3.
Usher's "Burn" slowed down for a while, but now it's looking at an almost definite Top 5. For a while this might have only barely made Top 10, but that was just because of "Yeah."
Jessica Simpson "TMBA" finally gaining healthy again! Stations are finally dropping "With You." A reasonable station would have dropped "With You" a month and a half ago. Who still wants to hear that song?? Anyone?
Outkast "Roses" making nice moves! Blink 182 you're killing me only +161 >:(
Who's still increasing Switchfoot plays? +296?!?!?! My station dropped it 2 months ago!
"Everytime" is about to be Britnitized (surged into quadruple bullets.) How far can it go? And how big will it's bullet be at its peak? My guess is +1400. Anyone?
Songs that better succeed below the Top 30: IN ORDER 1. Trapt - Echo 2. Calling - Our Lives 3. Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You 4. Hanson - Penny & Me 5. Lenny Kravitz - Where Are We Runnin
Cherie - I'm Ready

"Meant to Live" is one of those songs that stations pick up on at different times, that explains why it has taken it so long to make the top 20. "Yeah" could regain the #1 position very soon, now just 13 spins behind "This Love," but why won't stations let "Yeah" be done, he already has 2 other singles moving up the charts!! "She Will Be Loved" hasn't even began taking off yet!

Hopefully, it'll resume going down at its previous rate before Sunday.

Continuing a discussion from last week's topic, Murphy Lee arguably should have been sent to recurrent even if it had fallen to #60. I've seen instances where a song was moved to recurrent status despite falling from the top 50 in the week after its 20th week.

Ought to be an interesting lil' race to the top in the next few weeks here with 3-7 crowded with some nice bullets.

couple of observations:
-BEP ACTUALLY look to be making their way to the top 10. I never thought this song had what it takes. -TMBA at #9?!?!? No frieken way! I thought this song would surely stall at 11. Jessica's popularity has endured longer than I thought it would. -Evanescence look to be spending their last week in the top 10. Alas, an amazing reign comes to an end. When did they hit top 10, back in Feb?

Damn, Usher is back on top again! Come on, radio stations, play Maroon5 as many times as you can!

As predicted in last week's topic, Usher has indeed returned to the top and his losses are now only -170! :o The race is between Usher and Hoobastank for the #1 slot. If The Reason falters a little this week, then Usher will get one more week at the top before The Reason and I Don't Wanna Know battle it out. Looks like the Maroon 5 predictions made by several weeks ago didn't pan out! :( Britney almost at +1000!!! :o Most of us thought that radio would not play this song, but look at it go! Top 10 is certainly in its future at this rate! Way to go Britney! Despite the large gains, she will probably only leap 26-22 or 21 if Outkast can go recurrent ahead of her.

"Yeah" and "This Love" need to drop... I switch away when I hear either (I'm sure I'll like "This Love" again eventually - if they would stop playing it).
I'm surprised Jessica Simpson is doing so well with the remake. I thought it would be a fast rise-fast fall. I think it would have been if she had done a duet with Nick Lachey (though that would have been more interesting to listen to).

Looks like the Maroon 5 predictions made by several weeks ago didn't pan out! :( What about Beyonce? She is right behind Hoobastank at #4 and her bullet is almost exactly what that of The Reason is. Why is the battle between Hooba and Mario and not Beyonce? I'm also shocked at Hey Mama. Is this payola? I don't think I've ever heard it played on Buffalo's CHR/Pop WKSE Kiss 98.5 That has got to be payola. That song is NOT very pop radio friendly, IMO. Especially coming off that flop that is "Shut Up". Whoa D-12 is already down to #5?? and it's about to be #6 with Mario Winans right at their heels. That was quick. What was the official peak for "My Band", #3? There are 5 songs in the Top 10 that all have healthy bullets. Jessica Simpson is probably the only one that can be ruled out of getting to #1, but all the others look like they have a chance. It's going to be interesting to see what happens

I think "Hey Mama" is very radio-friendly.
And yes, it appears that "My Band" has peaked at #3 in its 7th week in the top 50.
Top 50 debut 3/19/04:
(62) 37 21 17 11 7 5 3 4 5

I'm also shocked at Hey Mama. Is this payola? After 3-4 months on the chart? I doubt it.

After 3-4 months on the chart? I doubt it. Yeah, lol, a run of 49-39-39-39-31-32-27-26-23-22-21-19-18-15-13-12 doesn't really scream payola to me.

It looks like Hoobastank will be the next #1, they now have reached 8000 spins and are just 200 spins behind Usher, and Beyonce and Mario have lower bullets currently. Maroon 5 continues to fall, it looks like they will be at #5 by next week! It's time to release "She Will Be Loved." Black Eyed Peas are having a long run, 16 weeks already, that's a slower rise than "Unwell!" Switchfoot is even slower!

Hoobastank better hit the top this week, I am going to be pissed if Usher re-enters the #1 spot. If Mario Winans keeps up, Mario and Beyonce will likely be held up behind it, but they'll definetely score top 3 peaks and if Mario keeps his bullet, he may go to the top eventually. And don't count out Burn, but that won't make a run for the top for another couple of weeks. Usher now has 3 singles in the top 50 (Yeah, Burn, and Confessions Part 2), 2 of which are in the top 10. Can we say overkill? Congrats to the Black Eyed Peas, as Hey Mama is poised to hit the top 10 either this week or next. I don't think this is payola at work, this is a very catchy and cool song and will keep building as summer heats up. Avril has a very erratic bullet. She's back in the 200s again, but it may fall victim to the cursed #11 spot soon. Wow, I really hate that song. Blink 182 has slowed down a little, hope it picks back up soon. Look at Switchfoot go! +228 as of right now and almost to the Top 15. Looking good...could this one be a sleeper Top 10 summer hit? Roses has picked up dramatically as The Way You Move and Hey Ya settle down. This one is going to the Top 10, but Sean Paul and Jay-Z will not be joining it as they have slowed down a ton since their fast starts (opposite of OutKast). Kimberley Locke looks to be about done, unfortunately. Britney Spears is taking off and looks to be in the Top 20 by the end of the week, as well as Mis-Teeq possibly. Yellowcard needs to be jump started, hopefully it'll at least hit the top 20. Christina Milian is in the Top 30 with a good bullet, as is JoJo. Liz Phair is not moving very fast (thankfully) and it looks like Kanye West is going to have a nice pop hit with All Falls Down. Sugababes doing decent & bubbling just below the top 30. Who the hell is Cherie and why is she about to hit the Top 30? The song sucks big time. And, OH YAY, Freek-A-Leek is in the Top 40 with +268. Can we bring back the barf icon for this one? New Lenny Kravitz SUCKS and will die soon. Come on Los Lonely Boys! Down in the +100 range but I think it'll pick back up. Just a great song right there and I'll be sick if Petey deleted outpeaks it. Someone explain to me why Maria Mena is doing so well. "I hope you forgive me for that time when I put my hand between your legs and said it was small, 'cause it's really not at all." Are you joking! The Calling off to a nice start. Also, be on the lookout for Trapt's Echo. I'll be pulling for that one throughout the summer.

Who would of thought we would be talking about Switchfoot in the summertime, "Meant to Live" was released to alternative last summer!! It's approaching 6 months since this song went for adds. I was thinking it would be a sleeper top 10 in March.

Who the hell is Cherie and why is she about to hit the Top 30? She's a French singer, and her spins are increasing. (Hey, you asked!)

The Reason should knock Yeah out, with This Love surprising everyone with only 2 weeks at #1 and Yeah with 3 or 4 weeks at #1. Avril and Hey Mama may both get the top 10 and Jessica could make #6 or #7. Roses finally hits +780, could it hit #1?
Locke's album didn't even hit the Billboard Top 100 :'(. but she has stuck to her -60s lose in plays for a few days.
Ashlee Simpson + 56 and at #98 could she hit top 10?

Kimberley Locke will debut THIS week on the album charts, probably around #14 if hitsdailydouble is accurate.

Avril's #12 now. . . the only near droppers ahead of her are Ev and J-Kwon. If J-Kwon picks up in loss of bullet then Avril may sneak in top 10 in a few weeks.

Y100 has put Jessica Simpson 'Breath' and Mario Winans in power rotation. They put With You and Someday in recurrent.

I've read the other thread about Avril's song DTM and maybe it is the case of payola that is giving her the gains she is having now. Playing her song every half an hour overnight (between 12 am and 6 am)...
It seems to be working since she jumped 6 places on Billboard to no 39 and is going up on this chart.
I don't think that many people are liking the song as her chart position is telling us. Her bullet has gone up and down and for two or three weeks ago her bullet was down to 20 and then her bullet suddenly started to go up again and has kept on doing so.

what's with the huge drop in impressions today? ??? I wondered that myself. I figured a change in the reporting panel was the prime culprit. After checking, it looks like the panel is down to 124 stations (it was 128 when I last checked a couple months back). Who did we lose? Hoobastank is now 97 spins from the top! Random side observation: Jay-Z is, currently, at #99 with "99 Problems". Kinda reminds me of Pete Wingfield being at #18 with a bullet with his song "18 With A Bullet" back in the 70s.
