This will be her first radio single according to a radio interview she did today.
Terrible! >:( Sorry, but that's the truth.
“Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law -- for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well.”
Ah, the geniuses at 19 strike again. So if Fantasia is releasing I Believe to radio and Diana is releasing Dreams, why did Fantasia sing Dreams on the finale and not Diana? They could have had Diana sing Dreams and Fantasia sing Summertime before announcing the winner and avoided killing the suspense in the process (because honestly, any doubt that Fantasia had won was erased when Diana sang I Believe at least 20 minutes before the results were announced).
Oh well, at least they're not releasing the same song to radio. That would have been even dumber.

"No comment, dahhhling. Put it just like that. And make sure 'dahhhling' is spelled d-a-h-h-h-l-i-n-g." --Mariah Carey

Actually, Fantasia only won by 1.5 million votes out of 65 million cast, which equates to a margin of 51.15% to 48.85%. Extremely close. Fortunately, the right singer won.

They were talking about the results night, not the performance night. Everyone knew Diana lost because she performed "I Believe" about 20 minutes before the winner was announced on the final results show.
I actually didn't think of it, lol whoops. I should have, but I didn't really put it together that she lost because she was performing I Believe.

Diana's CD single due out June 22 features a tracklisting as follows:
1. Dreams 2. Don't Cry Out Loud 3. I Believe
Why would they include songs Fantasia is releasing?

I don't even remember how this song goes. But since it's Diana, it should do well on my chart. She can do no wrong when she hears herself properly! Surely the CD version will be excellent.

I would have rather No More Tears on the single instead of 'Dreams'
then maybe I would have bought it
I still might buy it because I LOVED her version of Don't Cry Out Loud, and this will be a full length, studio version so :o
and it's gonna be cheap, so...plus I like Diana, I wanna support her, even if I live in Canada and it doesn't count towards Soundscan or her Hot 100 standing.
I can't wait to hear full length studio versions of I Believe and Don't Cry Out Loud!

i just downloaded the American IDol version of I Believe and no more tears. i love it so much!!!
Even though Dreams is possibly the worst contrived piece of shit to be released to radio (well, maybe not considering the stuff put out today...); it's better suited to Diana's vocal style than I Believe would be.
I agree about "No More Tears." She was actually pretty good on that song - she definetly should've been given a chance to record and even release it.
