Checkout mediabase; Feel Good Time jumped from 1 spin last week to 70 (!) spins. What gives? That song was a flop last summer.

I believe it was the featured soundtrack song on AT40.

So does that mean that only 69 stations run AT40?

No. It means that no more than 70 stations run it but it could be 60 stations as maybe the song got the remaining spins on its own. It could also mean 40 stations and X number of stations replay the show twice.

Or it could mean that 69 monitored CHR/Pop stations run AT40 (I'm sure they have many small-market affiliates who aren't part of the monitored R&R panel).

Or it could mean that 69 monitored CHR/Pop stations run AT40 (I'm sure they have many small-market affiliates who aren't part of the monitored R&R panel). That's what I figured it was.Β Back in February, I compared the list of R&R's Mediabase stations with the list of AT40 affiliates (from at40.com).Β At the time I counted 51 stations shared between the two panels.Β That number could have changed over the course of 4 months, or FGT got some spins from additonal play elsewhere. UPDATE:Β Just did the station count again, and there are, as of June 3, 65 Mediabase monitered R&R reporters that air AT40: WHTZ, KIIS, WKSC, KHKS, WIOQ, WIHT, WXKS, WKQI, WSTR, WHYI, KDWB, KHTS, KSLZ, WFLZ, KFMD, WKST, KKRZ, WAKS, WKFS, KMXV, KXXM, KZHT, WXSS, WPRO, WNCI, WXXL, WNOU, KHFI, WRVW, WKSS, WAPE, KJYO, WPXY, WZKF, WRVQ, WQEN, WDKF, KRQQ, WFLY, WSNX, WXKB, WBHT, WAEB, WWST, WNTQ, WVKS, WERO, WNOK, KKDM, WABB, KKRD, WAOA, KSMB, WKXJ, WZNY, WJJS, WAKZ, WLAN, WZYP, KSAS, KNEV, KQXY, WAYV, WXXX, WHTS There's your answer.

There are also some stations that cut out parts of the countdown. For example, when "Penny And Me" was played a couple months ago, it definitely did not gain 65 spins the next day or two as a result of that. It looked like half the stations or so just cut that part of the show right out.

Heh, heh! Y'know, rereading my post, it does sound kind of like one of those fun factoids that Casey would talk about. :)
