i notice the Album Chart on Canoe is 200 spots this week. Is that going to be the regular number since in the past they just showed the top 100?

I don't know if sometime the whole chart shows up by mistake or what. I hope they keep the Top 200 up. BTW, what are the actual sales for a week for an album that's at 100. In the US right now, that would probably be around 10,000-11,000 (guess)...bottom 200 would be about 5,000-6,000.

Confirming your guess, the #200 album on the US chart sold 5,763 copies this week. For Canada, the number has got to be low if there are ties for positions (which I have seen before).

If you use the standard divide by 10 rule then the 200th album in Canada probably sold 500 to 700 units.

That would make sense.
Former Jam Showbiz! Chart columnist Nanda Lwin told me that they post everything Nielsen SoundScan gives them. So, it's SoundScan that decides how many chart positions we see each week.

Jam! only shows the Top 200, etc for albums/singles if #100 is tied with something. That's what I've always noticed.
