I low key love this song. I’m always surprised when I don’t see it among the annual Christmas staples re-entering the charts. Other than Mariah, this seems by far like the most liked and most well know “new” Christmas standard.
I wonder if the nonstop news coverage she’s received this year will help this reach a new peak, but so far seems unlikely?

Which is odd to me however, because you'd think it would get *some*, but it's pushing like 50 spins a week right now while even songs from LeAnn Rimes, Jessica Simpson, 98 Degrees, NSYNC, etc., all get more. However, the streams are always VERY strong for it, and it's in the upper tier of 'new Christmas classics' where it's not as big as Underneath the Tree or Santa Tell Me, but when they're posting 2-2.5M daily Spotify updates, MOW is nearly 1M. People clearly like the song and it does well, but that hasn't translated into radio adding it to their playlists for whatever reason. |

Well, a lot of holiday airplay comes from AC radio, and I can see them not playing it because Britney was never a huge AC artist. My guess is the actual week of Christmas it gets more airplay because Top 40 stations will play a bit more holiday music then? But yeah, a lyric video or some kind of promotion like that could help it. |
