Last night:
11 11 USHER Yeah (f/Ludacris & L... 4325 4590 -265 30.447
Today:

"Yeah" GAINED 12 spins from last night. What the hell. But the good news is "Angels" went from a bullet to a triple digit spin loss.

Yeah, but the song peaked at number three. Obviously, it wasn't going to be moved to recurrent until it dropped below the top 20, just like every other song. Unlike 3 Doors Down, Fountains of Wayne weren't given any special treatment.

I don't quite see how Los Lonely Boys are a "Triple A" band. I mean, they had one hit over on that chart. Do we call Matchbox 20 or Train or Counting Crows a "Triple A" band because they do well on that chart? Matchbox 20 were originally an Alternative crossover, so they are an Alternative-gone-mainstream band. Counting Crows is definitely a Triple A band, despite managing to get one mainstream hit per release. However, all the other singles tend to hit huge only on Triple A. Los Lonely Boys are new, but they sound quite Triple A. If or when you hear the rest of the album, there's very much blues-oriented tracks that Triple A will like but other formats won't promote very much. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

And they seem to have jumped five spots (17-12) without a bullet. That's a trick you don't see very often. It makes sense though, since they were stuck between #17-18 for three weeks with a pretty big bullet. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I really like Heaven by Los Lonely Boys. I hope it can go top 10 on pop.

I hope Heaven doesn't go top 10, but it looks like it could.
Angels wasn't a good song, until I heard the remix, which is 100% better. Sorry Jessica.

Ahhh...Jessica finally lost her bullet!! Everytime is finally losing steam, but it had an impressive run for a Britney ballad...well, for any Britney song. Partly due to the fact that Outrageous is starting to blow up at radio. Christina Milian and JoJo have started to lose their bullets...they're only at about +300, down from +750 only a few days ago. Get that JoJo out of the number 1 spot!!

It is in a quiet spot on the chart, so it was apparently vacuum effect. Still, I don't ever remember a song jumping five spots without a bullet in any portion of the chart - it has to be a record for the Top 20. It's about as weird as the song that moved 6-3 without a bullet two years ago, though I forget exactly which song it was - I believe it may have been Fat Joe or he sang on it, but I'm not sure.

It was "What's Luv" by Fat Joe and Ashanti.

Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah, I believe it was around this time in 2002 (though it might have been early July, if not June). Anyway, I remember thinking, "Wow, that must be a record for the Top Ten". And, as I said, I'm sure the 17-12 jump for Los Lonely Boys is a record for a bulletless jump within the Top 20 - possibly even Top 30.
