Instead of "Fragile (Free)," Maria Mena has stated in a phone interview that the next single off her US debut album "White Turns Blue" will be "Blame It On Me."I quite like it. "You're The Only One" was okay but it turned me off when I first heard it. I should've gave the album a fair chance. I think I will. I hope to find STACKS of her album on my next Amoeba visit. "Blame It On Me" and "Fragile (Free)" are very listenable. I also like "Just A Little Bit" and how she argued with an interviewer about how they didn't know the meaning behind it and how she likes to trick people with an uptempo beat even though the song is suppose to be DEPRESSING.

I can picture Maria Mena being the next single Mineable loves after artists like Hoku. :)
I'll check this one out since 'You're The Only One' was a Top 10 hit for me.

Can't believe her record label is giving a second single a shot. I figured they would have dropped her by now. I say this doesn't chart.

Oh, "Blame it On Me" is a great choice for a single, I can really see it becoming a big hit for Maria like what happened to Stacie Orrico after "Stuck" flopped, her other single became a hit.
I loved this song the first time I listened to it so I really hope it gets some airplay. Way Better than "You're the Only One". there's no fast talking or explicit lyrics.

Stuck didnt flop-it nearly hit top 10 on pop. I think it was a much larger hit that Maria's first hit which peaked from 20-25 and dive bombed down the charts.

Hmm, I loved her lead single, but this one just doesn't catch on to me. Although I hope it charts for Maria's case, I didn't really agree with it as the follow-up single. But oh well, good for her.

Based on that clip, "Blame It On Me" sounds pretty decent. So why didn't she release it first? It sounds a hell of a lot more radio friendly than her f**ked up first single was. "Blame It On Me" should have no trouble making the top 50, but "You're The Only One"'s mediocre performance will definitely hinder its chances of becoming a big hit.

I bought her album upon release. On first listen, I was so disappointed! It just sounded so weak. But I went back and listened to Blame It On Me, along with the rest of the album, and now I love it! I really hope Blame It On Me blows up. It's a great song.

You can also listen to a full clip here: www.myspace.com/mariamena/ I missed reception's post the first time around. There hasn't been any official updates about the follow-up single since Maria's interview. I really hope Columbia hurries up and release something ("Blame It On Me," "Just A Little Bit," or "Fragile").. I don't want to see Maria Mena dropped. :(

Love this song. I think it's awesome, and it would sound fantastic on pop radio. I hope they do give her a chance... :'(
And yes, her site hasn't been updated. What's up with that? ???

Dude..."Stuck" peaked at number 8. #11 on pop-however, still not a flop and a much bigger hit than Maria's first single.
