Like I said, I can live with the 6.4 (or 6.5), but the +400k# is just meaningless.  I mean 0,8m (before worldwide release) + 4m (March to November) +1,4/1,5m (December till now) brings my sale figure to 6,3, maybe they just rounded up. |

I thought it was +7.5%?[/quote] +7,5% but the difference with the 1° number and the 2° number could be at max 400k because: 1) is impossible that albums sold over 400-500k in the 7,5% of markets that we can't estimate 2) if an album will have 11millions in first numbers with the 7,5% the second numbert will be almost at 12m...too much difference. |

Don't you think it's ratherable to be underrated than overrated?
I mean, put without the 400k+ or 7,5%+ and people will know that they surely have crossed the line that they're at.

the fact is that you can't have a substantiation from nowhere.
articles (on billboards,on official sites,on artist sites,on fansites) aren't always trustable..only sometimes really seems right, usually are inflated and sometimes aren't update
labels data the same..sometimes are right, sometimes are inflated (or talking only about shipments*) and sometimes not update
certifications are useless because usually are based on shipments data (**), sometimes are too much bigger than the real sold data (***) and a lot of times aren't update,sometimes never certified (expeciallly in european countries)
* just think at 50cent, labels said "2 millions sold in first week" that is laughable, was for sure the shipments data, it sold 900k in first week
** just think at Robbie Williams, it was certified 3x (3 millions) in IFPI european certification after one month of release..it never reach 3m, now is at a bit over 2m..after over 1 year!
***just think at all the times that albums went Gold on RIAA with only 250k..or Platinum with 600k sold.
