I usually try to post lists as they become relevant in a given week. Like most top 10 hits or most weeks in the top 10, etc.
Many lists, I have posted several times in the weekly chart threads but get buried quickly when I go to do an update so I have to re-post. Now that the chart threads have been separated, I could probably do more of these.
Here is the first list:
Since Linkin Park is set to open with 550K next week, easily making it the biggest sales week of the year for a single album, here is the top 10 thus far:

OK, we'll go with that
I have little album info before 1963 I had 3 albums credited to Bob Dylan & The Band so my numbers were a little off I forgot that Wings & Paul McCartney are essentially the same listing
My original post is updated for the top 10- reflecting the pre-63 info and the above changes.

I don't know how easy/difficult this is but would be it possible to include the last week each of these albums were top 10. That way we Carrie fans can know how many people she will pass each week she stays in the top 10. Again if it's too difficult that's fine. I appreciate everything you do here. These lists are fun to look at.

BHC is at like week 37 or so on the Hot 100 wonder if it can maintain it to make the list, doubt it but can be hopeful. SH should start falling soon with no real promo or singles minus BHC on pop.

2m, I have Joel Whitburn's Billboard Albums Book from 1956-2005. This was actually discussed in chart beat chat on billboard today "Good guesses. As reported in this week's Chart Beat, Streisand's 29th top 10 album keeps her in fourth place among artists with the most top 10 albums on The Billboard 200. If you're curious, here is a list of the top five: The Rolling Stones (36) Frank Sinatra (32) The Beatles (31) Barbra Streisand (29) Elvis Presley (27) You asked which female artist is next on the list. With 16 top 10 albums to her credit, it's Madonna Apparently they call 'Evita' a Madonna/Soundtrack and not just a Soundtrack so, I edited my original post. However, there appears to be a discrepancy on the Beatles count. You & I both got 30, they got 31. Where is the difference?

One thing I never knew until a few years ago was that back in the '70s and early '80s, albums climbed up the charts much like (U.S.) singles do, instead of almost always debuting at their peak and falling from there. For example, Thriller opened at some low spot like #25. (I used to have a huge list of album chart runs, but it unfortunately got erased when my old external hard drive crashed.)

Charts I would like to see...
Biggest First Week sales (I have one, but it is from early 2005)
Lowest First Week sales (of established artists that have had at least one album selling at least 500,000 copies, excluding live/remix/collaboration/etc, studio albums only)
List of songs that only made it to bubbling under of established artists
Most #1 weeks on the Billboard 200

Yep... it wasn't until SoundScan kicked in with actual sales data in mid-1991 that albums regularly began debuting at or near their peaks. So I guess you lost the chart run for Dark Side Of The Moon?
