Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" rises 11-8, completing the longest climb to the top 10 in chart history after 38 weeks. The song breaks the longevity mark of 36 weeks set by Creed's "Higher" in the July 8, 2000, issue. Justin Timberlake's "Summer Love" is up 14-9, his fourth top 10 hit from the album "FutureSex/LoveSounds." Rounding out the top tier is Fergie's "Glamorous," which falls 8-10.

Has Justin still the chance to get 5 #1's consecutively, if SummerLove hits #1, although the Timbaland song "Release" charted? It wasn't a official single, right?

Practically, yes, but technically, no, since Release ruined things. But I'm sure they'll think of a loophole if Summer Love goes to #1.

Walflowers #2 No Doubt 16 weeks at #1 Tonic #11 Sugar Ray 6 weeks at #1 Matchbox 20 #3 Does that mean that these songs were only airplay singles? Yes, if it didn't hit the Hot 100 but, charted only on the airplay chart, that would make it "airplay-only" Quite common between 1994 and 1998

Most weeks spent in the top 10 of the Hot 100 - Billboard year 2007 through 27 weeks - all songs combined.
Might be a fun thing to track if someone wants to project artist of the year ??

I got a question!!!!!Its kinda stupid but whatever...this happens to alot of cds..is it just timing or what when albums debut at #1 or #2 and they spend a healthy time in the Top 10 in the charts, suddenly they fall out of top 10..thats not the weird part..the weird part is they fall out from #5 to #11 ..that has happened to alot cds i have seen on the chart...or am i just tripping lol

It happens when the initial rush due to the first single and the wave of promo that came with it wears off. You have to start a second wave before the first one finishes so you keep the album going, like what JT did by pushing the next single before the previous one was over, you have to keep the audience's attention. Then again, first week sales and the amount of time in the top 5 or top 10 aren't always the key to healthy sales like Fergie and Gwen have recently shown. If you manage to keep an album stable in the top 30, you should be okay by todays standards.

Does anyone have a list of the most successful albums of the 2000s so far? It doesn't matter when the CD was released. For example, if a CD was released in 1999, but sold 5 million since January 2000, post the total sold during the 2000s (five million). Please and thank you. :)

Nine Inch Nails, for the first time since I've been viewing Billboard charts, is not atop the Hot Dance Single Sales with Everyday Is Exactly the Same. How many weeks was it #1?
