Adele is the tenth act to have the no. 1 and no. 2 albums simultaniously in the UK How many time this feat has been achieved in the US and when was the last time? Michael Jackson did it in 2009 I believe so that's probably the latest Jackson did it, but the Billboard 200 didn't show that because of different rules. I don't remember the last time it happened with the Billboard 200. Maybe Nelly when he did a double release.

I do not know if this is the LAST time it happened, but in 1991, Guns n Roses did it with their Use Your Illusion I and II CDs (II being #1 while I being #2).

This week, Max Martin has written and/or produced 10 songs in the top 50 of the Hot 100.
Has there been another week when one person has written/produced 10 or more titles in the top 50? Maybe George Martin, when he was working with the Beatles and some other 60s acts? From what I recall, Babyface got close to this number but didn't quite reach 10.
I don't know if Martin's dominance can be defined as a "record," but it's still really striking.
For a point of reference, here are his tracks in the top 50 this week:
F***in' Perfect Blow E.T. Till The World Ends Hold It Against Me What The Hell Raise Your Glass Dynamite DJ Got Us Falling In Love Teenage Dream

What he did that year was amazing though. Katy's isn't a re-release though. No debate that hers counts.

I don't think ET requires any asterisk. It's a remix, not a new song, and the original version is also selling quite well (at times above the remix).

Sorry if I spread any misinformation, the Ask Billboard article just happened to mention Diane Warren and not Madonna. I did check Madonna's songwriting credits and apparently "Justify My Love" was written by Lenny Kravitz and Ingrid Chavez with "additional lyrics" by Madonna. Similarly, "Papa Don't Preach" is credited to Brian Elliott with "additional lyrics" by Madonna. So I don't know if "additional lyrics" counts as a songwriting credit or not. Anyone else know?

The Billboard article only mentioned Diane Warren because it was on the question that prompted the list. It does not say where she is among females.

That would be Elvis, since his Hot 100 total is not as high as listed above

I'm writing a story about instrumental hits but can't find the mention of the latest all-instrumental top 10 hit. Can someone help me?
I know the most recent number one is Jan Hammer's Miami Vice Theme.

I think the Mission: Impossible theme was the last instrumental top ten.
I don't remember how well Robert Miles's "Children" did but that may have also been top ten.

"Children" peaked at No. 21 on the Hot 100; Miles' second entry missed the top half.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure that it is 'Theme from Mission: Impossible' by Clayton/Mullen
I believe 'One and One' wasn't an instrumental? Or did 'Fable' chart?
EDIT: Thank you Rodze! That list is very useful
