She sang JTTW at the ACMs last year. It was the performance where she started to cry towards the very end and just let the band finish out the song.
She performed BHC at the CMAs last year in November.

Too many awards/performances to keep track of. She sang JTTW at the ACMs last year. It was the performance where she started to cry towards the very end and just let the band finish out the song. She performed BHC at the CMAs last year in November. Here is CMT's article with much detail on the ASCAP party yesterday! www.cmt.com/news/articles/1559263/20070510/underwood__carrie.jhtmlASCAP and BMI threw separate parties Wednesday afternoon (May 9) to celebrate the chart success of "Wasted," the song recorded by Carrie Underwood and co-written by ASCAP's Hillary Lindsey and BMI's Troy Verges and Marv Green. ASCAP and BMI are competing performance rights organizations that monitor, collect and distribute royalties to songwriters and music publishers for the public use of their songs. Underwood took time from her recording sessions to attend both events. Her second album, as yet untitled, will be out this fall. The festivities began with a buffet luncheon at ASCAP's Nashville offices. After guests feasted on fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes and kindred spring fare, they trooped into the lobby to see Lindsey, Underwood and producer Mark Bright receive their awards. "Wasted" spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. "This is a very talented young lady," Underwood said of Lindsey. Then, in an apparent reference to her upcoming album, she added, "You'll be seeing a lot more from her -- from me." Lindsey said even her dad had been caught up in the chart progress of the song. "He'd call me up every morning and say, 'Hey, what's up, No. 1?' [or] 'What's up No. 1-for-two-weeks, baby?" Taking advantage of the perfect weather, BMI staged its celebration later in the afternoon on its majestic sixth-floor veranda overlooking downtown Nashville. Jody Williams, BMI's vice president of writer-publisher relations, praised Verges and Green for their history of writing hits, noting that Verges had penned Jessica Andrew's "Who I Am" and Martina McBride's "Blessed" and that Green's composer credits included George Strait's "It Just Comes Natural." Williams credited Underwood -- who has sold more than 5 million copies of her Some Hearts debut album -- with bringing new fans to country music. He said she was the first new country artist featured on MTV in the past five years. In addition to awarding Underwood the traditional silver cup for recording a No. 1 song, Williams also presented her a fancy carrying case "with lots of bling" on it for her dog, Ace. Verges' publisher, Pat Higdon, who heads Universal Music Publishing in Nashville, also had words of praise for Underwood. "I read in Billboard about falling [record] sales. But everything you do defies gravity."Photos from CMT.

That is so true. It is really just one after another. Thanks for the pics, vinman. She looks so laid back and happy in those. What a wild ride for her. It doesn't look like it will let up anytime soon. Good for her.

Looks like "Wasted" is indeed the last single from the Some Hearts album era. www.icebergradio.com/node/39259CARRIE UNDERWOOD MARKS FEAT OF NUMBER ONE HIT WITH NASHVILLE PARTY By: Margy Holland Carrie Underwood celebrated her fourth consecutive Number One hit, "Wasted," yesterday (Wednesday, May 9th) at a party in Nashville. Underwood's string of hits have boosted sales of her debut album, Some Hearts, to more than five million units. Underwood told us that she was very surprised to see "Wasted" reach the top spot. "I know at some point some song that I have is not gonna go to Number One. We really didn't know how this would be. We knew it would be the last single off of the album and hopefully would tide people over until the next album comes out, and it just started going up the charts pretty fast and it was like, 'Oh, no!'Now there's gonna be a longer space in between this and when the first single from the next album comes out." Underwood said she's especially grateful to both the radio and fans for her incredible success. "It's wonderful that radio has played my songs and people have requested and it's just amazing that I've managed, along with the writers, to have this kind of success off of the last single on the album. (I've) been very blessed." Underwood is still hard at work on her sophomore album. No release date has yet been scheduled.

It's so special when you see someone who is talented and/or a celebrity, but they are also intelligent and can have good conversations that are above things like "that's hot" or "like like...." etc. Nothing is more of a turnoff than to hear a bumbling person who can't seem to talk above the level of a preteen.

Thanks vinman! love that quote "I read in Billboard about falling [record] sales. But everything you do defies gravity." Me too, I love that quote. It made me think of a song from Wicked. I don't use a signature (or even view them), but someone should use that if they aren't already.

www.gocountry105.com/music/artist_profile.phpThree other artists have to be considered serious contenders for a healthy amount of acceptance speeches. One is Rascal Flatts, who are staring six ACM Awards in the face (Entertainer of the Year, Top Vocal Group and two apiece -- one for "merit," one for production -- in the categories of Album of the Year [Me and My Gang] and Single Record of the Year ["What Hurts the Most"]). Another is Carrie Underwood, who hasn't met an awards ceremony she hasn't yet dominated. The 2005 American Idol champion can add five statues to her trophy case, including Album of the Year (for Some Hearts) and Female Vocalist of the Year. There's also three possibilities for her mammoth hit "Before He Cheats" -- Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year. Right behind Carrie are Kenny Alphin and John Rich, better known as Big & Rich. The guys find themselves with four ACM chances -- Top Vocal Duo, Video of the Year (for the moving "8th of November" clip), Vocal Event of the Year (for joining Gretchen Wilson and Van Zant on Hank Williams Jr.'s "That's How They Do It in Dixie") and Song of the Year (for helping to co-write Jason Aldean's "Amarillo Sky"). John Rich also can emerge victorious in the vocal event race if Gretchen Wilson and Merle Haggard's "Politically Uncorrect" is read as the winner, as he helped produce the track.

Carrie, wow, it's just crazy how big she has gotten! Seriously, I did not expect her debut album to get this far! I didn't expect her to make a cross-over to pop, and I definitely didn't expect her to win not only 2 Grammys (Best New Artist *cough cough*), but the numerous amounts of awards she has gotten.
This woman is on fire! Standing ovation right there. Lol.

MOTHER"S DAY 2007: CARRIE A year ago, Carrie Underwood was scaling the charts with her second hit, “Don’t Forget to Remember Me.” You may recall her mom, Carole, played her mom in the accompanying music video—“ It’s kind of ‘our song,’ so it made sense.” (Click on the highlighted to hear Carrie)

They tried to release "Some Hearts" back when the album first came out and it flopped. I love "Starts With Goodbye," but I think they should just let it die at this point. She has another album coming out in the fall, so they need to make sure there's enough time for the first single to grow.

Kicks picks! 2007 Association of Country Music Awardswww.myrtlebeachonline.com/113/story/65004.htmlCountry music doubles the pleasure with two trade associations that hand out awards annually to its performers. The Country Music Association ceremony happens in autumn, the Academy of Country Music in spring. Both might equate to Grammy status in the field. Three country radio stations serve the Grand Strand, and picking up other signals is possible from Fayetteville, N.C., and Charleston. So country music saturates this market. Morning show co-hosts Randy "Mudflap" Wilcox of WEGX-FM "Eagle" 92.9 in Florence and Korby Ray at WGTR-FM "Gator" 107.9 in Myrtle Beach responded to our invitation to weigh in on predictions for award winners in select categories. Two other country fans - Steve Palisin and Sara Elisabeth Potts, both from The Sun News features department - also joined the fray, all for fun, of course, with a look ahead at the ACMs. This might not be as serious as speculating 18 months ahead on the presidential race for 2008, but the ACMs, like the CMAs, bring a smooth, well-oiled presentation with many peformances and a night filled with music - especially for anyone who might want a break from the same old song nightly on the cable news outlets. <snip> TOP FEMALE VOCALISTSara Evans Faith Hill Miranda Lambert Martina McBride Carrie UnderwoodRANDY 'MUDFLAP' WILCOXWho should win | Carrie Underwood. No other female's had a year like her. Maybe not ever.Who will win | Carrie Underwood. Four straight No. 1s, pop crossover success, "American Idol" - she's unstoppable. Why were you nominated? | Miranda Lambert. No big hits, although she is chock-full of potential. Actually, after Carrie Underwood, Martina and Faith are a not-even-close second, and then Sara and Miranda. Carrie WAS the top female vocalist in every way that matters this past year. Steve PalisinWho should win | Carrie Underwood, commanding more than country charts with all four debut singles.
Who will win | Carrie Underwood, but not a big year for women in country overall. Why were you nominated? | Sara Evans - Her musical success started a descent even before she left "Dancing with the Stars" last year without breaking a leg. Sara Elisabeth PottsWho should win | Carrie Underwood. She was the first who rose through the country charts on the "American Idol" wave.Who will win | Martina McBride. This heavy hitter keeps coming back with the usual collection of songs that touch on serious subjects from unwed mothers to religion. She's a shoo-in. Why were you nominated? | Faith Hill. Poppy songs about summertime and a family sing-along in Tim McGraw's "Fly Away" don't cut it. Korby's CommentsSara Evans | She's been all over the tabloids from her messy divorce to leaving "Dancing With The Stars." Might be why she's here? Faith Hill | She's so sweet, but then there's a girl named Carrie! I think this time she will have her mouth taped shut.Miranda Lambert | Umm ... the girl is crazy! That's all I have to say. Martina McBride | Not because I love her long locks either and those baby blues, but the girl can sing like no other, but then there's a girl named Carrie!Carrie Underwood | Winner. Oh my gosh! Can this girl get any HOTTER?!<snip> SONG OF THE YEAR"Amarillo Sky," Jason Aldean "Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood"Give It Away," George Strait "You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)," Rodney Atkins "Would You Go With Me," Josh Turner Korby's Comments"Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood | There is no stopping her, and she has no plans to slow down, with another album on the way. Winner!<snip> ALBUM OF THE YEAR"Hillbilly Deluxe," Brooks & Dunn "It Just Comes Natural," George Strait "Me and My Gang," Rascal Flatts "Some Hearts," Carrie Underwood"These Days," Vince Gill RANDY 'MUDFLAP' WILCOXWho should win | Vince Gill. No longer a radio darling, but still had the courage to release a four-CD boxed set of all new music. Not only that, he shows that he masters almost any type of music he decided to play. Brilliant. Who will win | Carrie Underwood. Way too much momentum to be stopped. Why were you nominated? | Vince Gill. Ground-breaking and adventurous, yes, but Vince is rapidly becoming a dot on the horizon as far as contemporary country is concerned. Sad but true. Steve PalisinWho should win | "It Just Comes Natural." The modest, low-key king of country music, George Strait, inducted Sunday into the Country Music of Hall of Fame, sounds as good as ever, without a hiccup with every album. Who will win | "Some Hearts." Carrie Underwood's machine out of the gate makes multiple strides in diversity of songs and styles. Why were you nominated? | "Hillbilly Deluxe." Making music must be merely all for fun now for Brooks & Dunn, who might have run out of room to store all their awards as the highest-selling country duo. Heck, Kix Brooks is host for "American Country Countdown," a weekly radio show chronicling Billboard magazine's chart. Sara Elisabeth PottsWho should win | "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flatts. With a collection of four strong radio hits throughout 2006-07, this group should lead the way. Who will win | Either "Some Hearts" or "Me and My Gang" because we've heard nothing but "Before He Cheats" and various Rascal Flatts tunes incessantly. Why were you nominated? | "Hillbilly Deluxe" by Brooks & Dunn. I know they're more "classic" country, but the group is left in the past when compared to up-and-comers like Little Big Town or Jason Aldean. Korby's Comments"Hillbilly Deluxe," Brooks & Dunn | They are solid ... but then, there's a girl named Carrie. "It Just Comes Natural," George Strait | He's amazing all the way around ... but then there is a girl named Carrie. "Me and My Gang," Rascal Flatts | Solid Album from beginning to end ... but then there is a girl named Carrie. "Some Hearts," Carrie Underwood | Although not my favorite album, you can't deny her talent and her following of about 5 million in sales! Winner by a long shot."These Days," Vince Gill | Not much from him this time around.

Mama Underwood is the chosen one :) www.y108.com/pages/118001.php?Carrie Underwood plans to spend this Mother's Day (Sunday, May 13th) with her mom in Sin City. The two are flying into Las Vegas a few days ahead of The Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) to spend some quality mother/daughter time together, as she told us. "She's coming to the ACM's with me, so I fly her down a little early so we can go see a show in Vegas together and stuff like that. She's been a huge part of my life. They're gonna be up here -- I think my dad's actually coming, too -- to CMA Music Fest, which is awesome 'cause he's never been up here, so I'm very excited that my family's coming. They've been my backbone throughout all of this, and they've been the people that keep me as normal as I can possibly be." Carrie is nominated for Top Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for Some Hearts, and Single, Song and Video of the Year for "Before He Cheats" at Tuesday's (May 15th) ACM Awards. She is also set to perform live on the show, which airs on CBS at 8 p.m. ET. (Thanks again to getcarriedaway of CF for the find!)
