I think there's still a possibility. If not as an "official" album track, maybe as an exclusive track for Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, or iTunes. Hee! I wouldn't mind all those exclusives for different stores. The more Carrie songs, the better. Since she has so many originals to choose from anyway... and her covers are awesome. One thing we're sure of is that the cover, if any, won't be ISBY, as stated by Carrie herself.
Is it November yet? :)

Carrie asked us what cover to put on the album and said she was considering doing so- so it could easily be a bonus track at the end.

www.dallascowboys.com/news.cfm?id=9772AD4C-908B-C611-E3D0E9C2B8FAF3B2Center Of Attention In Football, Golf & Red Carpet, TooGRAPEVINE, Texas - The Cowboys made it clear they are sticking with Tony Romo as their starting quarterback when they by-passed Notre Dame's Brady Quinn in the recent NFL Draft. And they might make more of a financial commitment with a new contract before too long. That's all thanks to his football abilities. When it comes to golf, Tony Romo is also the face of the franchise, the guy everyone wants to play with in the Cowboys Annual Golf Classic, held here on Wednesday at Cowboys Golf Club. Romo, who came up short in the U.S. Open regional qualifier last week in Irving, is easily the team's best golfer. "Yeah, there's no one out here like him," said Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten, who is one of the team's better golfers, too, but admits he's not even close to Romo's league. "No, Tony is in a class by himself out here. He's really good." But then everyone knew he was a really good golfer long before he became the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, which might be one of the few aspects of his life that isn't changing these days. Surrounded by reporters Wednesday before teeing off with his team, the sponsors of Cadbury Schweppes, Romo didn't get any questions about football. And surprisingly, nothing even about golf. No, on this day, it was all about Romo's much-publicized trip to the 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards Tuesday night in Las Vegas, where he was a special guest of recording artist Carrie Underwood, who took home Top Female Vocalist of the Year honors, as well as Album of the Year (Some Hearts). Romo, who first met Underwood last Thanksgiving when she performed during The Salvation Army halftime celebration at Texas Stadium, has not yet acknowledged they are an item. "I was just supporting Carrie," Romo said, knowing full-well what was coming after posing for several pictures with Underwood at the event. "We are good friends. We get to see each other go through different things in life. It's nice to go and support." Romo said he met country superstars such as George Strait and Kenny Chesney, although Witten even joked that Romo had no idea who George Strait was. "I knew who he was," Romo said with a big grin. "I've never met him before, but I knew who he was. Witten doesn't know what he's talking about." Romo also took some friendly ribbing from the media for holding Underwood's purse while she accepted her two awards. "You have to help out when you can," he said. "I am just a secondary protocol there. I am there to do a job, and it was to hold the purse." Romo is getting good at playing along and joking around, even at his own expense. But he contends that his life hasn't changed much. "My life is still the same," he said. "I tell people that all the time. I am always having fun, it's just that more people care about what you do now. But I do the exact same things I have done before. I might have went to awards show before, but I didn't sit in the third row. All of sudden, you guys know about it now. But my life hasn't changed." Maybe not, but his popularity and his social life certainly have. <Snip>

A quick SQUEE! for Carrie's ACM wins and for the cuteness of the Romowood! My mother, who is a huge Carrie fan (as is my dad), asked me to send her pictures of the Romowood at the ACMs...I guess she approves! Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald (not my favorite critic -- in the past few years, he has really gotten bogged down into this AI mentality in his music criticism) has posted a 30-second clip of "Oh Love" in his blog!! Brad and Carrie both sound great, but the clip doesn't tell us much about what the overall nature of the song is going to be (the clip seems to cuts off right before the chorus). It's definitely encouraging that Cohen seems to think the song is decent despite not being a Carrie fan at all. Lyrics: [ Carrie] Deep as the life from God's own breath, Endless even after death, Gone like the sunset.[ Brad] You can break a heart in pieces, Put it back it together again.[ Carrie] You can break down sweet forgiveness You're the one that never ends.[ Brad] Ohhhhh...

Oooh, excellent find, 43dudley! Sounds very promising... and what a tease! I keep playing it over and over and wishing that the next time I play it, it will magically continue onto the next verse or the chorus :)
And lol at Howard saying "I'm not a fan of Carrie at all.." That's an understatement, hee! The times I read his articles mentioning Carrie are my self sting-test. (Oh, how much did that sting? Ouch! How about this one? Eh, not so much... haha!).
I hope you're a member of CF, 43dudley, and post this there (if it hasn't been already since I haven't checked). You always bring us such great goodies and they get to CF late. Oh, but I'm sure someone will do it soon. This is pretty biggie! Thanks again! *goes off to listen again... and again...*

Thanks, jeff, for having spread the good word!
Cohen originally posted the 30-second clip as a mp3 download, before changing it to a streaming player. I managed to grab the 30-second download, but am going to hold off on uploading it so people stream from the site (never know who's counting, after all! *shifty eyes*).
leilamaurizia, thanks for having posted those song titles! I'm especially intrigued by "The More Boys I Meet" -- at first, I thought that would be a funny one, but given Gordon Kennedy's involvement, I don't know. He has written for Garth Brooks, Alison Krauss (!!), Bonnie Raitt, Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, etc. He also co-wrote "Change the World" (the Eric Clapton song). And yay that we're seeing more Carrie co-writes! It'll be interesting to see what makes the album.

I am dying here! I want to hear more! Damn it, Cohen! :)
Seriously, that 30-second clip alone made my heart palpitate-- the lyrics seem beautiful, the melody... the voices... when Carrie uses that upper register... *sigh* Leak, leak, leak, come on!!!!
And as if my excitement for a full album of new Carrie songs wasn't driving me crazy already, this just certified me a full-fledged loony!

Awww Dudley..why'd you have to make my day! Gotta join the SQUEEEE club although I have been refraining. Even though, its a stream. Very easy to pull and I have it also but yea. Let's give em some web hits before I permanantly host that. Great find and as always, thanks for the inside stuff! Can anyone say #1 Itunes first day released??
