Or after her acceptance speech for Album of the Year! Jumping in those high heels... whew! Add another skill to the resume!
And 43dudleyvillas is my hero too :) Boy, am I glad you're a Carrie fan. On a side note, it was nice to read that your parents are Carrie fans too. I remember one of your posts saying they fed you a steady diet of "classic" country growing up. See, it's possible to like the different sub-genres of country simultaneously!
Seriously, I cannot stop listening. I. Cannot. Stop. That streaming link is getting a lot of streams from me alone.

By the way, if any of you wanted the Tim McGraw ACM performance, I posted the HQ vid link in the ACM Thread in the Country forum.
Also, I wonder what the reactions are from the Brad boards once they get wind of this sample.

I'm betting Brad's Ohhhhhh continues with Love since the name of the song is "Oh Love".

You all know this a duet of the 2007 ACM Top Male & Female Vocalist !!! :) Yeah, how awesome is that. I totally love the sounds of it so far. This should definitely be a hit. They do what too few people now days seem to understand, that you don't try to outsing each other but you blend together instead. Just having 2 great voices doesn't mean they will sound good together or that they understand how to share the song for the best possible output. Carrie has always done a great job singing with others. Looks like this one is another winner. I was never very familiar with Brad but have been getting to know more of him since she toured with him. He is definitely good and worth following. OT, but speaking of Brad, did you all see on that one video link where one of the interviews was of him and of Kellie, where she and Taylor are touring with him this summer and have already started the hi-jinx stuff. Cracked me up to hear them talking about it. It's always nice to think that the people working together have fun together on and off stage. I always loved the hi-jinx stuff that seems to happen on the last nights of tours. I have seen some really funny stuff happen to make it a great show.

Yeah, the ticks one? That was pretty funny but I'm sure you won't find Carrie putting on a costume like that! OMG I have to join in with you guys!!! SSSSSQQQQQUUUUUUUEEEEEEEE!!!! Sounds awesome! And how much more awesome that if that duet is released (which it darn well should be) as a single, they'll be saying, "And now the new duet from the ACM's Top Male & Female Vocalists, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood". Woooo hoooo!!! Another SSSSSSQQQQQUUUUUUEEEEE!!! I can't stop listening either.

I love that song so far, Oh Love! thanx for posting that clip- cannot stop listening to it! Carrie never sounded better vocally, nor has brad for that matter. Their voices blend beautifully together.
I think I figured out what the song is about: It is an ode to love, with carrie and brad directing the entire song to honor love, for the good bad and ugly it brings...ie- brad's line: you break my heart in a million pieces and put it back together again...(something like that)
so the entire song is simply that- and ode to love. Brilliant! reminds me of a poem I read in college- cannot remember if it was yeats or keating, etc.

www.dallascowboys.com/news.cfm?id=9772AD4C-908B-C611-E3D0E9C2B8FAF3B2Center Of Attention In Football, Golf & Red Carpet, TooGRAPEVINE, Texas - The Cowboys made it clear they are sticking with Tony Romo as their starting quarterback when they by-passed Notre Dame's Brady Quinn in the recent NFL Draft. And they might make more of a financial commitment with a new contract before too long. That's all thanks to his football abilities. When it comes to golf, Tony Romo is also the face of the franchise, the guy everyone wants to play with in the Cowboys Annual Golf Classic, held here on Wednesday at Cowboys Golf Club. Romo, who came up short in the U.S. Open regional qualifier last week in Irving, is easily the team's best golfer. "Yeah, there's no one out here like him," said Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten, who is one of the team's better golfers, too, but admits he's not even close to Romo's league. "No, Tony is in a class by himself out here. He's really good." But then everyone knew he was a really good golfer long before he became the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, which might be one of the few aspects of his life that isn't changing these days. Surrounded by reporters Wednesday before teeing off with his team, the sponsors of Cadbury Schweppes, Romo didn't get any questions about football. And surprisingly, nothing even about golf. No, on this day, it was all about Romo's much-publicized trip to the 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards Tuesday night in Las Vegas, where he was a special guest of recording artist Carrie Underwood, who took home Top Female Vocalist of the Year honors, as well as Album of the Year (Some Hearts). Romo, who first met Underwood last Thanksgiving when she performed during The Salvation Army halftime celebration at Texas Stadium, has not yet acknowledged they are an item. "I was just supporting Carrie," Romo said, knowing full-well what was coming after posing for several pictures with Underwood at the event. "We are good friends. We get to see each other go through different things in life. It's nice to go and support." Romo said he met country superstars such as George Strait and Kenny Chesney, although Witten even joked that Romo had no idea who George Strait was. "I knew who he was," Romo said with a big grin. "I've never met him before, but I knew who he was. Witten doesn't know what he's talking about." Romo also took some friendly ribbing from the media for holding Underwood's purse while she accepted her two awards. "You have to help out when you can," he said. "I am just a secondary protocol there. I am there to do a job, and it was to hold the purse." Romo is getting good at playing along and joking around, even at his own expense. But he contends that his life hasn't changed much. "My life is still the same," he said. "I tell people that all the time. I am always having fun, it's just that more people care about what you do now. But I do the exact same things I have done before. I might have went to awards show before, but I didn't sit in the third row. All of sudden, you guys know about it now. But my life hasn't changed." Maybe not, but his popularity and his social life certainly have. <Snip> poor tony- but how funny that he got picked on for holding carrie's purse! LOL That is classic! But methinks he doth protest too much, carrie too. LOL They are definetly more then friends- but I think it is still the beginning stages so they are likely unsure how to define the relationship yet. But they both looked so happy together and the chemistry was so strong I could feel it through the tv screen! :)

They apparently don't know it was made for charity only. LOL that they said it was from her new album. And did you see their review of Before He Cheats, they said the song wouldn't go anywhere. Hello??? How many weeks at #1?? They loved Wasted though.

I am questioning if this interview below real or possibly written by a kid because of the grammar. If it is real, great interview with Carrie from 5/17/07: talks about her blessed year, upcoming album and tracks she wrote :), her weight, whether she has a boyfriend, her favourite Idol, and her dream duets !!! It's been two fast years since Carrie Underwood won season four of American Idol. In those two years she has won country awards, Grammys, and sold more than six millions copies of her debut, outselling any Idol's debut in six seasons. What is she up to now? Take a look as I get personal with the Idol superstar. KCFAN: I first want to congradulate you on winning your three new awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards! Yet more trophies to add to your collection. CU: I know it's amazing. I am really thankful and blessed for all that I've been a part of. I never thought in a million years I would be winning Grammys and performing for people I grew up listening to. KCFAN: So that's five ACMA's, one American Music Award, two People's Choice, five Billboard awards, two Country Music Awards, and two Grammys. You have sold over six million copies of Some Hearts now, making you the best selling Idol in America. CU: It really is just a fairy-tale come true. KCFAN: You did a tour in 2006, and now you're working on your second album. I'm sure full details aren't available but I've seen titles you've written and performed show up on BMI and ASCAP websites. Titles such as "Never Get Used To You" and "Everybody Cries." Any information you'd like to give on your forth-coming record? CU: Yes, we are still recording. I have received a great selection of songs, and I have written some myself. There are others being considered for the album too such as "The Truth Hurts" and "The Lazy Day Song" that I wrote on as well. Writing has been a different experience. I didn't have a lot of say on my last record. KCFAN: So you've written quite a good part of the record. Have you heard about Kelly Clarkson's ordeal with getting her album out? CU: Yeah, and that's a shame. She's such a nice person and she is really talented. She's a great singer and a very good writer. I loved her last record Breakaway. A lot of times it's a compromise to include your own work on an album because record companies don't make the same kind of money they did over ten years ago. It's a risk writing your own music because if it doesn't do well, not only do you look bad, but you let your record label down as well. I won't sing my songs unless I know they're good enough.KCFAN: You have lost quite a bit of weight since Idol, is the pressure to be thin really an issue in the music industry? CU: It's all about packaging. People expect to be happy with what they see on TV or they will change the channel. I simply just work out and keep in shape. I don't starve myself of anything; I eat what I want. But I eat healthy. The stress of being in music is enough to make you lose ten pounds already! But I love pizza and chocolate! KCFAN: Being in the music business, not only is it tough on your weight, but relationships as well. Do you currently have a love interest? CU: No, no I don't. I've been linked to Anthony Federov. But I don't have a boyfriend. I'm actually shy and horrible around guys! Being famous, sadly, guys who may have not seen me before suddenly are attracted to me. Then there's this "Well does he want to be seen in the press with me?" question I always think. Everyday people may not know how to cope with people yelling my name on red carpets, wanting my picture and autograph. KCFAN: If you hadn't been on Idol, what would you be doing now? CU: I originally wanted to be a journalist. I tried out for American Idol on a whim. KCFAN: What hasn't changed for you since winning Idol? CU: Well, the only thing that has changed is that I'm in the spotlight. I bought a house. I love being home. Every once and a while I will go to a club and it's fun to just be normal and dance the night away. I like to just sit and home with my dog and relax listening to music. Or watching TV. I love Grey's Anatomy. KCFAN: What kind of music do you enjoy? CU: Oh, everything! I am a music junkie. I grew up listening to hard-rock bands like Guns 'N Roses and Bon Jovi. Today, I like Breaking Benjamin. KCFAN: It's quite a contrast, you're part of country music. Do you want to ever change directions like Kelly did and make more of a rock album like Breakaway or My December? CU: No. My roots come from country music. I'm a country living girl. Kelly has a very versatile voice and can sing anything she wants. She just performed at the ACMAs with Reba McEntire. They're redoing Kelly's single "Because of You" as a country song together. It is amazing. But for me, I'll probably stick with country. It's great though how well "Before He Cheats" has crossed over into mainstream music. Idol has given me that advantage to be that much more successful. Kelly is my favorite American Idol of all-time, but the show was lucky to find such a voice. I don't think I could pull it off and cross over to every genre like she has.KCFAN: She's dueting with Reba, her lifelong dream. The song will be on Reba's upcoming duets album September 18th. Do you have any hereos or artists you'd like to work with? CU: Well, I sang with Rascal Flatts on American Idol and again during an aired TV performance. They're one of my favorites. I wouldn't mind a duet with Justin Timberlake or Kenny Chesney. Even Mary J Blige. She's phenominal. KCFAN: It's about time to wrap this up, can you tell me when you're album is coming out so we can all mark our calendars, or do you not have a date yet? CU: No, it's coming out November 13th so far we have planned.KCFAN: Great! I'm looking forward to it! Thank you for taking the time to chat with me and good luck in your future in your career! CU: Thank you for having me, was a pleasure. www.associatedcontent.com/article/228004/an_interview_with_american_idol_carrie.html

I'm sure I missed the details on this Oh Love! Brad & Carrie duet but when is it scheduled for release? Only on Brad's new album? It does sound wonderful.
I must add that I'm very impressed with Tony Romo standing patiently with Carrie in that AccessHollywood red carpet interview. He seems a true gentleman. And they do appear happy with each other. I wonder how much of this relationship might seep into Carrie's songs?

If it is real, great interview with Carrie from 5/17/07: talks about her blessed year, upcoming album and tracks she wrote :), her weight, whether she has a boyfriend, her favourite Idol, and her dream duets !!! It's a fake. I saw it earlier and every answer made me go "huh? this is a fake." Most of the answers are from previous interviews, most of which are even lifted verbatim. Then the "interviewer" expands it with his/her interpretation of the answer, which makes it even more "huh?" The "new" info are those just posted recently on messageboards-- ahem, new song titles. Carrie supposedly answered when the release date was. Very unlikely. Lots of things in there that she wouldn't say. It's a pity people actually make up interviews now.
