So one wish of mine was fulfilled (the Brad-Carrie duet).... I guess it won't hurt to put another one out there. I wish that on a future Carrie album, Alison Krauss will produce. *fingers crossed, eyes shut tightly*

Some Hearts remains the best-selling, single-disc country album by a solo artist (male or female) in the last six years (since Tim McGraw’s Greatest Hits released in November of 2000) and the best-selling, single-disc country album by any artist since the release of the Dixie Chicks’ Home in August 2002. How much has Tim's GH sold? Anyway, she should pass Shania and Dixie Chicks (and Tim if he's ahead) by the end of the year. And with sales in general continuing to drop, Carrie should end up with the best-selling country album of the 00s.

^ it might....but it could also improve the relationship between carrie and kelly if they pull it off, which im sure they would I think THEY have a good relationship. Carrie has said she likes Kelly and vice versa. It's the fans that don't agree...but oh well....I think it would be great for them to duet. sorry! i meant carrie and kelly FANS, not the actual people. lol. but ur right either way!

From Music Row..
I wonder if any suprise Duet appearance by Carrie?
Brad Paisley in GAC Concert Special
A new concert special, Brad Paisley 5th Gear, will debut June 17 on GAC at 7 p.m. CT. The 90-minute show is the country star’s first television special and will feature his high-energy show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, as well as exclusive backstage interviews. The show airs prior to the June 19 release of Paisley's new album 5th Gear, and will re-air several other dates in June.

I admire Carrie so much. She has handled the press, the whirlwind and all with a smile on her face. The girl is smokin! Congrats on a truly perfect debut album Carrie.

Well said- Carrie should be commended for staying as grounded as she has been for a career just 18 months young, a career that most artists would kill for in a lifetime !

That week it sold 17,247 so while Carrie probably hasn't passed Tim yet she probably will within the next month or so.

At this point we know that Kelly, Taylor and Katherine are confirmed for the show. Some poeple are saying that Fantasi and Ruben are confirmed as well but I haven't seen anything definite on that yet.

I also believe Kat's appearance a rumor still. I would assume reigning idol Taylor but ...you never know!

Taylor is confirmed to appear per the american idol boards- as well as kelly clarkson and carrie (we know from carries fan club site). The rumors of fantasia and reuben are not for sure- and no one on the idol boards is saying kat is confirmed.
I think it will be a medly of all 5 idol winners- as there is no way there is time for each to do a whole song.
Chris daughtry is confirmed to perform Home on tuesday night- and the rest, including carrie, are on for wednesday.

Not that anyone would mistake me for a fan of Fantasia or Ruben , but they really should have the 5 winners on the finale. The show would risk looking racist if only Kelly, Carrie, and Taylor show up.

I wouldn't mind seeing all 5 but please don't have them try to sing together as a group. I want Carrie by herself with no one else. Some just don't seem to blend well with others and I don't want her spot ruined.

guys- I have some possible very good news about the brad/carrie duet! I called my dj today and asked if they could play the song-just for the heck of it- and he said they have it, but cannot play it until it is officially released to radio by the label...but- he said they already have a whole promotion/contest thing planned for the radio station in relation to this duet!!! He said he could not give out the release date of the song as they don't have it yet anyway- but that it is DEFINETLY being released as a single to radio-- and that all the radio and industry people are talking about it, because they love it! That is why the radio station already planned a whole special promotion/contest--- because he said it will be HUGE and people (insiders) are really psyched about it!!!
He said it should sky rocket to the top- as he has heard the whole song- and he really loves it. He also jokingly said that brad and carrie are the best there is right now- and that they could sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall and radio would play it-- and it would be a top10 hit!
love this guy!
so - take this to mean our worries that it will be released to radio are over... Now we just have to find out about the release date! yeah!

So one wish of mine was fulfilled (the Brad-Carrie duet).... I guess it won't hurt to put another one out there. I wish that on a future Carrie album, Alison Krauss will produce. *fingers crossed, eyes shut tightly* I don't think this thread would be able to contain my SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE! if that were to happen. It would be glorious! tsharky, interesting news, thanks for sharing! I did figure that "Oh Love"'s only chance of being released as a single would be as 5th Gear's 2nd single -- otherwise, it would compete with the singles from Carrie's upcoming album, and I can't imagine Arista Nashville would want that to happen. It also makes sense because Arista Nashville probably sees this as Brad Paisley's ticket to the next level of stardom and sales -- there won't be any other new Carrie Underwood music to buy while this song is a single, after all. And this benefits Carrie because "Oh Love" will be a nice bridge to the lead single from her upcoming album, and she gets the privilege of singing with respected veteran Brad Paisley. In short, this is a great career development move for both Brad and Carrie, and I'm thrilled that two super-talented artists will be benefited in the process! Of course, it goes without saying that the duet itself would have to work artistically -- from the way their voices sound together, it seems that it does! I can't wait to hear this song in full!!
