The Wreckers'... a supposedly folk-rock band with Michelle Branch and indie artist Jessica Harp... debut album is planned to drop in March of 2005. The duo is possibly touring with label-mate Tyler Hilton sometime early this Spring. The Wreckers' The Good Kind is included on the soundtrack to One Tree Hill being released on Jan. 25... and they will be appearing on the show to perform the song. A live version of the song can be found here jessicaharp.org/media/audio.php?fullTitle edited.

Definately can't wait to check this out. I love Michelle, and One Tree Hill's producers have great taste in music.

This sounds really good. I'm surprised. I'm looking forward to this album and I hope they can have deserved success with it.

Sounds good to me... but very risky... Michelle should be focusing on her solo career right now... but I have no doubts that this will be good material.

This is very very risky. Hopefully they release a version of "Tell You About It." :)

It looks like The Good Kind will be the first single... maverick.com/news/390/With only a live-version of the song, I can't be sure, but I dunno if it's a good choice for the first single... not up-tempo enough... but the studio version could be far different.

It's a great song, but not one I would suggest starting a career with.

I just realized that the studio version is on that site too. Yeah, it is. I wondered why no one was mentioning it.

I may be wrong... but I believe The Good Kind was first written and recorded by Jessica Harp alone... which is what the studio version is...

I LOVE The Wreckers! I saw them perform live in April, they are AWESOME together. And Jessica did back-up vocals for "Desperately" on Michelle Branch's sophomore effort, "Hotel Paper". I'll be buying this.

A clip of the duo's studio version of The Good Kind can be found here... myspace.com/onetreehillNot a great departure from Jessica's solo version... sounds good... though more like a followup single than a lead single.

The studio version has some great additions that give it a folk tinge. I'm not totally worried about this. If Tyler Hilton can hit the pop chart, so can The Wreckers. I definitely don't see this blowing up though.

There is also a clip of a demo called "Lay Me Down" here... jessicaharp.org/media/downloads/fclick.php?fid=26It's confirmed by Jessica as being on the album... but the clip is of Michelle alone... so I suppose they have recorded a different version with the two of them singing it.?

I've been in love with "The Good Kind" for a few months now, since I downloaded a live version of them performing it (different from the "Sunfest" version) and the clip from the studio version is even better! Definitely can't wait to hear the cd... and I'm just praying they don't change Lay Me Down TOO much, but I have a feeling they will, since the demo doesn't fit the sound they're going for. Still, definitely can't wait.

Sounds very emo-y to me. If it gets a lot of exposure to a tv show like that it will do better.

Thank god Michelle has makeup on! ;)

I don't think she looks terrible without makeup on... then again, I'm a 20 (almost) year old female who hates wearing makeup with a passion so most of the time, I don't. Even though I look like utter crap without it haha

I dont wear much makeup either...and I dont think I look great, but I dont think Michelle looks good either (when she has not had tons of makeup and hair extensions, etc....put on) My comment was supposed to be a joke and not a discussion inviter anyways-so if anyone actually wants to debate this again, just search for the New Michelle picture post hehe.
Jessica looks like a Barbie Doll.
