It also seems they are working with John Levanthal and Rick DePofi who both produced Michelle's 'Hotel Paper'. Levanthal has also produced albums by Roseanne Cash, David Crosy, and Shaun Colvin. (co-writing "Sunny Came Home.")

Tentatively titled “Stand Still, Look Pretty.” That is a good title.

It reminds me of RuPaul's "Lookin' Good, Feelin' Gorgeous".

I forgot to add last night that you can listen to the same "The Good Kind" clip as the mp3 on www.michellebranch.com

Uh oh. I'm pretty worried now. They weren't kidding when they said this project would be a bit on the country side. Quite frankly, I think it's a mistake. Pop/rock music is at it's prime right now. They should stick to Pop/rock, they'll have more of a chance of being successful.

I like this song a lot melodically, but the fact that every time a new version leaks, it sounds even less pop just makes me think they're being pretentious. It was a pop song to begin with. They're trying to turn it into something it's not for some kind of acclaim. It's going to do nothing but further kill Michelle's career.

It's going to do nothing but further kill Michelle's career. I definitely agree. I really feel they need to stick to the pop/rock version. I saw them perform it live, it would do overly well on Pop. I think they're just looking to make some bucks. Country is doing very well these days, and they just want to milk the cow. I might be wrong, but this is the only thing that, to me, can justify why they'd turn their back on the musical genre that they've both mastered in their own careers, the same genre that is dominating the charts right now. *shrug*

She also was on the Patsy Cline tribute album that came out in 2003. Jessica Harp was already more along the lines of Country with her music. Also, I'm not really sure they're going for a "huge hit" with this record. It's basically just a project that they've wanted to do for a long time, no matter the outcome.

Honestly? I dont even think this will make them money. I think this is just a fun side project to them. I also think it may hurt Michelle's career. Unless its a hit, it will look bad on her part.

Also, I'm not really sure they're going for a "huge hit" with this record. It's basically just a project that they've wanted to do for a long time, no matter the outcome. It's not that. It's just that the song was pop to begin with and they keep messing with it to make it "un-pop". If it was a folk or country song to begin with, that would be one thing, but to keep changing it to gain some kind of acclaim is ridiculous.

I think they both know this is a risk... and it might not pay off. I think the music will be good... and I'm very excited to hear the album... but I kinda wish that Michelle was concentrating on making a rebound in her solo career.

I like it, a lot... but I hope they go with something more uptempo for the lead single.

Jessica Harp said in a radio interview that the album would not be released until June.
