I'm thinking it might become the next "I Don't Wanna Wait". WB shows have a great track record with launching careers (or, at the very least, hits), and this (hopefully) shouldn't be an exception. It's a great song, and Michelle deserves another hit. Hotel Paper, while a decent artist album, could only have been less radio-friendly if she'd dropped "Are You Happy Now?".

Apparently, the first single is going to be "Leave To Pieces"
I forget where I read it, but I'll try and get a link back here.

The Wreckers will also be featured on Santana's upcoming album on a song titled "Feeling For You". Here's a link to a thirty-second clip of The Wreckers performing their lead single, "Leave The Pieces" live in Houston. rapidshare.de/files/942439/LeaveThePiecesH.MPG.html

I heard "My Oh My" last night...boy, is that track country! I swear, somewhere Gretchen Wilson is having a party! :o

They're more country than alot of country artists today in "My Oh My"... It's SUCH a catchy little ditty (hey, it's a toe-tappin' country song. I can call it a ditty.)
My favorites are "Lay Me Down", "Leave The Pieces", "Rain", "Cigarettes", "The Good Kind", "The Way Back Home"... hell, ALL of them.

These songs are the best things to ever happen to Michelle Branch. Too bad they probably won't be radio hits. I can hope though. I'm happy to see "Love Me Like That" on the setlist. That's my favorite Michelle song, so I'm glad that it's songs like that that probably gave Michelle direction for this project.

Wow! I'm surprised, these are really good. The Wreckers will defnitely have to stick with Hot AC.

My favorite song of theirs that I've heard isn't in that Chicago link. It's called "Stand Still, Look Pretty"... very smooth, calm and beautiful.

I was at the Chicago show and that was a great show. The person standing behind me at the show taped it, so this may be her recording of the show.

The album is due out June 21. That seems a tad early.

IM getting most of their cd on promosquad. It all seems pretty bland so far nothing has really caught my attention enough to buy the cd.

But, Michelle was never my cup of tea (except for a few notable standouts, especially All You Wanted). I heard a few Jessica solo songs that sounded pretty good, but the combined effort is not really my thing. I dont think I have heard the entire studio form of the first single though.

This album is bound to get pushed back. It's due out in a month and the first single hasn't even gone to radio yet.

I guess we knew the album wouldn't come out soon since she is having her baby soon.
Nice to see that she has done a video with Santana. I read elsewhere that Santana's album is coming in the beginning of September.

I guess it's good for The Wreckers to get some exposure since Michelle's career is not looking great right now. But there's also the possibility that Santana's new project could flop too. I definitely don't think this is the best song to lead the album off with.

I think it's best to wait... I just couldn't see Michelle promoting her album 9 months pregnant, I'm not sure if "I'm Feelin' You" is the best choice for the Santana album... but it is great for The Wreckers. I hope it does good, it seems pleasant-catchy enough.

The album is done. There are rumors that it could be out by the end of the year.

According to their MySpace profile, the album is due in May, with the lead single "Leave the Pieces" set to hit country radio 'very soon.'

Country??? Wow... now that caught me off guard for sure... looking at the Myspace site though, I'm not too surprised now.
As for "I'm Feelin' You", from what I read on another thread, she apparently was "forced" to do the song by her record company and she didn't like it one bit... she did have a fan message board on her site, but she closed it down a little over a month ago, apparently she had a major "fit of anger" or something and felt the need to pull it...

Does anyone know if Michelle Branch is planning on ever making another solo album? I really wish she would.

I'm loving Cigarettes, I'm glad there doing country and not pop-rock. I started liking Michelle after Are You Happy Now? came out and ever since then i've been a huge fan. Hotel Paper, in my opinion, was amazing. Maybe not so radio friendly but the material was incredible. And from the sounds of this cd, this one as well might be another favorite of mine.
