I could slip something to everybody about Ms Furtado. She is now signed to Timbaland's new label. If you heard the Timbaland ring tones one of the trax is the beat to Block Party the poppish ring tone from MTV.

Timbaland hasn't had much major success lately, but he's still had some decent sized hits producing for other artists and if he can properly promote her, I could definitely see this working in her favor. It will probably mean a more radio friendly album than Folklore too.

Let's just say we may hear something new and possibly great from her in like December/ Early January! Timbaland's label success was based on PROMOTION which Interscope failed to give. But their going to correct everything and its gonna be GREAT!

How long does it take before an album is released after it is finished recording? Sounds like a new single could be out very shortly.

Wow. So she worked with Timbaland. As long as he doesn't screw up promotion or something, this should have no problem doing better than Folklore.

I'm anxious to hear from Nelly; she's definitely one of my favorite artists of all time, and I really thought that Folklore was great. I wonder what her new sound will be...

I can't wait to hear this. I really love Folklore, but it could've used a few Timbaland tracks.

i just heard the "Get your Freak On" remix on my ipod, is it true that when missy and her hooked up that nelly had the lyrics and "rap" all laid out by the time missy got to the studio? i read somewhere that nelly was actually only supposed to sing the chorus or some really small part but by the time missy heard it, she loved it. love nelly, timbaland & missy ..

Honestly, I'm really upset and scared that TIMBALAND is producing most of her album. I mean really now...He produced all of Brandy's album and it, save for the song "Finally", it stunk and flopped scarily. Missy's last one with him did crap too. I loved Nelly Furtado like a year b4 I'm like a bird was a radio hit, I've seen her in concert 4 times, 3 front row and she's amazing but this makes me nervous. I want to hear what she does with Pharell and I hope she writes by herself because that's when she does her best work!

Timbaland's production on Brandy's tracks were The highlight of brandy's ever-so-dull career. sure it flopped, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. The reason it flopped is because they went with the over-hyped Kanye single as the first release and for the second single, they released Two tracks and a remix (Afrodisiac & Who is She 2 U) And a remix of WIS2U with Usher, talk about radio overload, they picked up none of them. you can HARDLY blame timbaland for that failure, he delivered (way more than she deserved)
Nelly's Last album was probably the most underrated CD of that year, not sure why it flopped. probably because she was pregnant and could barely promote? not sure

Folklore, however brilliant, flopped because most of it was just not radio friendly. Maybe Timbaland can help her with that?

I kind of don't get her. I really like her and I've seen her in concert, but I can't even be like "OH SHE'S MOST SUITED FOR THIS KIND OF MUSIC!" She's equally convincing whether she does folk music or hip-hop. It's great that she has that kind of diversity even though those two genres are like total opposites. Whichever side it takes, I'm all for it. I just hope she doesn't completely abandon one side of her. I want something along the lines of her debut album with the better vocal styling she's been using since her last album.

Nelly is on Canadian rapper Jelleestone's new track "Friend-A-Mine". I hear that on Flow. When I first heard it, I thought for a second it might be her, but it didnt really totally sound like her all throughout, just at parts. That's a semi-cool song, mellow groove...I like it As for her with Timbaland, funny because I just heard the Tim remix of "Turn Off The Lights" on the radio the other day. It had Ms. Jade on it...that remix was a JAM! I remember I didnt know who Ms. Jade was at the time lol...then she came out, and the Tim connection, I put it all together. Nelly F. and Tim have great potential together, based on that song and the Get Ur Freak On Missy remix. She sounds good over his beats. I thought Nelly would cross over to more of a hip-hop, urban type thing after those, but she totally didn't with Folklore. I'd like to hear more of that side of her this album

The "Friendamine" remix sounds really dated, but it's cool. I like the beat. Nelly sounds like she's blending the vocal stylings from her first and second albums. It reminds me of "Powerless" vocally actually.

I enjoyed "One Trick Pony", "Try", and "Explode" the most from her last album. Yep! My favorites, too. Those 3 songs made me a fan even though she annoyed the hell out of me during her debut.
