Hopefully she doesn't change her style up too much and just picks better singles because "Kelis Was Here" is a great album.

KWH should have been promoted better.
"Blindfold Me" was good as a single but they didnt promote it.
"Trilogy"would have been good.

She should do a whole album of future-funk/soul type stuff (like "Junkie," "Glow," "80s Joint,"etc)... The song "80s Joint" from the Step Up soundtrack was incredible I don't get why she left it off KWH...

It was always her time. She has "missing" hits in her chart history, as I like to call them. Let's hope her label FINALLY gets their shit together to release the right singles and promote them properly.

She needs to work with the neptunes on this album. I'd like to see them working together, and "Hell Hath No Fury" was tight, but on the "pop" side they're not as strong as in recent years. |

Its a LONG story. Short version: She didn't like the way they ran the label and blamed them for her not succeeding. Even though they gave her her 1st Top 3 single with Milkshake and her first GOLD album in the US.

Trick Me was released in the US and went nowhere but was a success WW along with Millionaire which both got videos. She had the decision of staying on the Star Trak label when Arista folded into Jive. She spoke her piece and said hell no basically.
