Well, it's too early to predict all the debuts for 01-07 now, but "Karma" and "Mockingbird" should be two of them. "Breathe", any0ne? And to all who said Boulevard of Broken Dreams couldn't debut inside the top 40 this week when it was #53 last week.... )

I meant top 40 debuts.
Today, "Karma" jumped from #43 to #41. Last Tuesday, she was only at #48!

sticky please...
Okay, so maybe Oya Mi Canto will be in the top 40 by January 7th. This song isn't falling off the chart as fast as I thought a week and a half ago.

The song only has to still be on the chart until this Sunday. This Sunday's update will be the Jan. 7th, 2005 chart. Mario is still at ~6400 spins and about 1000 spins shy of Gavin. Looks like it is going to take longer than the two week break for Mario to reach the top of the chart (assuming he does...).

I can't believe how Breakaway has stuck around for soo long!! Definetly Kelly's biggest hit! Mario should overtake Kelly by Sunday and be #3 for the official chart. And :o at goodies, its only at -89 spins now. I think it might regain its bullet with all the yearend countdowns! Lean Back also has a bullet now as do the Killers.

I'd love to see kelly have two songs in the top ten at the same time ;)

Many songs regained their bullets today. She will be loved, I dont want to be, broken, nobodys home... All the recurrents also have pretty big bullets right now.

Year-end countdown spins are replacing Christmas song spins. Yeah, and some stations like my local one tend to "re-introduce" the older songs leading up to the year end. We've had all kinds of old ones..

I keep hearing that it only spent 19 weeks on the chart. That was because that 25/-3 recurrent rule was in effect at the time, where any song that was bulletless and below #25 went recurrent.

Oh, ok thanks. Do you know when mediabase came into existence? The company itself has been around for many years (since the mid-'80s, IIRC; Premiere purchased Mediabase 24/7 in 1991), but R&R didn't start using Mediabase data for their charts until June 1999 (I think).

Ok but I still don't understand why songs keep decreasing in total spins. Like i said before BOMT had 228 000 last month as a total but now has 222 000.

It's so hard to judge how a song is really doing. Plus, I keep getting confused and think I've pulled up the Hot AC chart. I'm just not used to bullets like these on Pop. I find them disconcerting. :(
