Burglars target home of Amy Winehouse

Burglars broke into Amy Winehouse's London home early Thursday and took away several valuable guitars, recording equipment and a flat-screen TV, according to her spokesman.

Winehouse is currently vacationing in the Caribbean.

It was an easy mark for intruders who may have known Winehouse has been away for weeks on a Caribbean vacation, spokesman Chris Goodman said.

"It's one of life's little ironies," he said. "Usually, hundreds of paparazzi are outside her home."

When the Grammy-winning singer is in town, "it's the safest street in London," he said.

Winehouse, who is on the island of St. Lucia, is "writing music with another guitar that didn't get burgled," Goodman said.

"She's doing very well and is enjoying her time away," he said, but she is thinking about returning to London soon.

London police have already recovered some of the electronics taken from Winehouse's home, according to a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman.

A neighbor called police to the home after two men kicked in the front door at 4 a.m. Thursday, the spokeswoman said. No arrests have been made, she said.

The burglary wasn't the only bad news for Winehouse during her vacation.

Husband Blake Fielder-Civil earlier this month asked his lawyer "to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery," said his lawyer, Henri Brandman.

That came after Fielder-Civil saw photos of her cavorting with another man in the Caribbean while he sat in a British jail.

I am PISSED @ the fact that she has to back out for something that happened LAST YEAR. UGH. Incredibly lame. My friends all laughed at the thought that I might see her live but I actually was hopeful after seeing pics of her looking back to normal (well, for Amy, anyway) and reports that she has at least cut out the hard stuff. LAME. Coachella will still rock but it won't be the same.

Winehouse 'angers label bosses with Gorillaz team-up'

Amy Winehouse has reportedly infuriated her record label bosses by delaying the recording of her solo album - to collaborate with Gorillaz.

Executives at music firm Universal paid for the singer to fly to St. Lucia last month to record the follow-up to her hit 2006 record Back To Black.

But instead of heading to the studio to work on her own songs, she has agreed to work with rocker Damon Albarn's band.

A source tells the Daily Mirror, "They were not happy to say the least. They want Amy to get cracking on her new album, but the results have so far not been up to scratch.

"Imagine how they felt when they realised she had agreed to work with Gorillaz? They couldn't believe it.

"It's an unnecessary distraction. They think she should invest all her energy in her own music. She should be knuckling down and delivering the goods."

Winehouse pens betrayal track

Singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly penned a new track called The Ultimate Betrayal following claims her estranged husband is expecting a child with another woman.

Mother-of-two Gilleen Morris told a newspaper at the weekend that she is six weeks pregnant with Blake Fielder-Civil's baby.

Winehouse was reportedly heartbroken by the news - and has written an emotional song about her turbulent relationship with Fielder-Civil while working on a new album in St Lucia, according to The Sun.

A source tells the publication, "Amy still felt they had something between them and that one day they'd be together again. But this news destroyed her. She sat down with her guitar and started writing The Ultimate Betrayal. She keeps repeating the line: Blake a baby, no, no, no. It's very haunting.”

Winehouse and Snoop Dogg's music delayed

Amy Winehouse and Snoop Dogg were held up during a recording session last year - after the pair reportedly became too high to perform.

The rapper is a huge fan of the Rehab singer, and invited her to a Los Angeles studio to collaborate on a couple of tracks.

But the pair's progress was halted after they allegedly smoked too much marijuana to finish their songs.

A source tells The Sun, "Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with slippers on, which had Amy giggling.

"They were working at a frenetic pace at first but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened.

"By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out but no finished product."

Recent legal woes have kept Winehouse from obtaining a visa and returning to the US.
