Hopefully, the bullets will be back to normal by the end of the week.

The bullets won't be back to normal, they'll be bigger than normal.
This is always the strangest chart week of the year, because you go from small bullets with year-end spins in the "this week" column to large bullets with year-end spins in the "last week" column over a seven-day period. Should be interesting... Bullets won't be back to normal until January 17.
There don't seem to be more than a handful of songs with the potential to grab those large bullets this week, though...

We won't see the first "normal" chart of this year until the week of 1/28/05.

We won't see the first "normal" chart of this year until the week of 1/28/05. Sincerely, Noah Eaton Why do you say that? On Monday, January 17, the "this week" column will be Mon., Jan. 10 through Sun., Jan. 16, and the "last week" column will be Mon., Jan. 3 through Sun., Jan. 9. That will be the first normal chart. --DanG

I didn't want to go searching for the Usher thread, so I decided to ask my question here? I know his single is "Caught Up," but on New Years eve I saw the "Redlight" music video. Wassup with that?

Usher did a mini-movie featuring 4 of his songs ("Take Your Hand," Seduction," "Red Light," and "Caught Up)

A sense of "normalcy" is returning to the chart this morning. Mario, Kelly, and Destiny's Child all have regained bullets, albeit small.
J. Lo's new one looks like it will make a top 40 debut!

Avril's up to #13 now, I think it's still possible that she may reach top 10.

Avril's up to #13 now, I think it's still possible that she may reach top 10. Well, the next top 10 berth is going to go to Kelly Clarkson likely. After that, Avril has to fight off "Lovers & Friends" & "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" who are picking up their gains significantly.

'nobody's home' is better than 'my happy ending' by a bit, so this is disappointing.

I third that ^^^. Lovers & Friends is only 665 spins below Avril and already has +523 bullet. Avril has yet to regain her bullet. :(

It all depends on her gains. If she makes it all the way back up to +350 or +400 I think it's definitely possible.

Anyone keeping track of Nelly vs. Gavin over the course of this week? If current trends continue, Gavin is within 100 of Nelly in the next couple days with Mario still at #3.
If the Nelly loss widens a bit more and Gavin's doesn't, Gavin could sneak in to #1 this week. It's not likely, but it's looking a lot more possible than it was before.

BUT there's one problem: Mario has a triple-digit bullet back. This means that "Over and Over" would have to lose a lot by Sunday night, otherwise Gavin is relegated to #2, as there's no way he will hold Mario back next week. While Saturday and Sunday tend to be more active than the days before them, the gap right now is 259 spins.

Nelly lost 111 spins from yesterday morning to this morning. Gavin gained 64. If that pattern holds, Gavin will just squeak by Nelly.

I can't believe how low the audience impressions are right now. Nelly is #1 and only has 55 million.

Many bullets went up on this update.
For example Avril has now a bullet of over 100 and I think she was -60 on the previous.
I really hope Gavin becomes no1 on Sunday but I'm not sure he will.
I guess things are starting to get back to normal now.

Were the first four Usher singles all charting at once for at least one week, or is Eminem the first to pull that off? Like Toy Soldiers is now in the Top 50.

I guess things are starting to get back to normal now. I figured Gavin might sneak in there and take it since Nelly was dropping and he was going up. Then suddenly this morning Nelly is gaining again! Yesterday he was at 7618 spins, today he's at 7693. Looks like Gavin might lose his shot at #1. Especially with Mario coming up so fast behind him.

Wow!!! The bullets are huge again! Ciara is at +601 and Mario is at +445. Snoop also has a bullet +122. It looks like Soldier will make top 5 now since its bullet is back at +337.

Looks like Gavin might lose his shot at #1. Especially with Mario coming up so fast behind him. Yeah, it looked like he had a chance yesterday, but now there's pretty much no shot. Nelly would have to take a huge dive, and with the year-end countdowns no longer being counted, there's no way that's going to happen. Both Gavin and Nelly are going to increase spins, and it's unlikely that Gavin's increase is going to be that much greater than Nelly's.
