Kelly has said at meet and greets that either "Addicted" or "Hear Me" will be the next single.

Yup, "Addicted" would make a better single than "Hear Me."

"Addicted" would probably do better, but "Hear Me" sums up the Breakaway era perfectly. Besides, if it's the final single (though realistically, there's no reason this album can't get a fifth single considering its sales records), it's always fun to take a risk.

This will go Top 10 definitely...I'm still saying #1.
As for future single(s), I would definitely go with Addicted next.

I still like Walk Away and think it would do well.
But I'm happy with either Hear Me or Addicted.
I'd probably lean towards Hear Me though. I think it's a better song.

I think Hear Me would be a really awkward choice for CHR. Thinking of the callout hooks for both, I think "Addicted" sounds more natural on radio. I am personally hoping for "Addicted" in the winter and "Walk Away" in spring/summer.

I think "Addicted" would be a big risk that could pay off. After Addicted, she should head back in the studio for album number three.

Kelly needs to take some risks! She cannot keep releasing pure radio friendly music. It's her fifth (or fourth) single and she's allowed room to take risks and I definately think "Hear Me" would be perfect.
Hell X-Tina took a risks with "Fighter" and "The Voice Within".

What does Christina have anything to do with this? She was much more established as an artist and "Fighter" and "The Voice Within" are considerably more radio friendly and poppy than, say, "Hear Me".
The fact that she changed the direction and sound of this album in comparison to her debut was a risk in itself. And everything she's worked for since it was released has payed off. But I agree that now is the time to experiment with the edgier songs from the album. But there has to be a balance between experimentation and solidifying her radio presence. PDs love her because of that dependability and she has to be careful to not jeopardize that. A good example is Avril who, after having 3 #1s in a row, tried releasing something edgier with the release of "Losing Grip" and it didn't pay off like some would have liked.

i wouldn't say christina was more established. maybe you think that simply b/c it took her so long in between cd's.... she's only released two cd's (english language of course). the only reason she'd be more established at the point kelly's at in her career is because of all the stupid britney vs christina crap for years.

No, I think that because she sold more albums, had more hits, and had much more celebrity than Kelly has at this point in her career.

Whatever. All I'm saying is almost every song on the CD is radio friendly, which is NOT a bad thing. All the songs are very well written and produced. I just wish she can push the evelope a little farther and release something more obscure. And what Kelly C did was nothing new. Its just pop/rock so to say she took a risk is a little bit far fetched, seeing as Low and Beatiful disaster were on her first CD.

"Walk Away" is so single worthy. They should definitely consider it.

BOY's audience impressions are insane! "Walk Away" is so single worthy. They should definitely consider it. Agreed.

When everyone else was saying her first few singles sounded too similar, I disagreed. If she releases "Addicted" after "Because Of You" though, I'll change my mind. Almost everything on her album is radio friendly though. I think "Breakaway" was actually probably one of the riskiest releases on the entire album. I want "Walk Away" next however.

My thoughts on the next single issue: I'd say that as long as Because Of You is as big a hit as I think it will be, whatever she releases next is pretty much guaranteed top 20 and will more likely than not go top 10. I want her to go with one of the songs that might have been too risky to release earlier in the era because she's at the point where she can both afford to and kind of has to in order to avoid squandering the credibility a song like BOY will give her (this is why I will vomit if she winds up releasing Gone - sure, it would probably be a hit, but at the expense of her being taken seriously). I've always pretty much felt that Hear Me needs to be a single at some point and would be the perfect way to close the era. That being said, after seeing her perform Addicted in concert last week and remembering how fucking amazing it is, I would certainly be happy with it as a single.
Getting back on topic, good to see that BOY is almost top 50 already. It should easily be most added next week.

I think Walk Away and Gone are the obvious choices. Although, I like Hear Me and Addicted, I can't realistically see either of them doing well... If I had to choose it would be Hear Me.

I've said since the beginning of this era that "Hear Me" MUST be released. Like KeKe said, she can afford to take a risk.
Moving on topic, I happy rhat BOY is doing well. One of the best ballads this year.

BOY needs to pick up better if it's going to do anything, just my opinion. BTW, as for the next single, who knows, but Walk Away is getting about 70 spins or so.
