At 21 on the back in the day replay they introduced "Don't Know much" but played "I Need You"... Hmmm wonder if that was the B-side to that single?

That's assuming they were still using double sided singles in 1990.

As noted above, they flubbed playing "Don't Know Much" and played "I Need You," another Ronstadt/Neville duet that immediately preceded it on her album.
Curiously, Downtown Julie Brown kept saying during the show that the countdown was determined by listener votes on Facebook and Twitter. At least when Seacrest says something like that, there's a whiff of possibility since no one actually sees that chart outside of AT40. Here, however, that's demonstrably untrue.

With the cutbacks in place and the back in the day replay continuing... This means Julie Brown is the only Disc Jockey left on the 90's channel. But unlike former DJs KT and whoever the other one was it sounds like putting Julie Brown in charge upgraded the show. It kind of has that feel of the first run of the Big 80s Big 40 countdown.

The songs in Green I wish the Big 80s along with other radio stations would play more of. Except for maybe Father Figure and Rick Astley the rest of these tunes get one play a week or less. This is what makes the Simply About Music concept sound good.

Listening on Friday night, I noticed a particularly bad flub when Firefall was referred to as "Fireball" both on the Sirius display and by Alan Hunter on the broadcast. At some point over the weekend, someone must have caught the mistake, as by Sunday the display was fixed and the reference was edited out of the broadcast.

It's more due to the Miami Remix goes more with the presentation of the 90's on 9. In this case the origional album version may seem a little soft for 90s on 9.

It is interesting that they played the full seven and a half minutes of One by Metallica. And the song only charted in the top 40 on the ARC top 40 and the hot 100. It only peaked at 61 on the cashbox chart in a twist to songs like Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat that only hit the top 40 on Cashbox. The song also did not chart on Radio and records. The first six songs on the countdown cover the gamut from Heavy metal to rap to easy listening at #36.
