Whatever people are out there voting for this, I can’t imagine what they’re smoking. There are a lot of great songs on this countdown, but imagine voting for shit like “…Green Berets” or “Honey” over classics like “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” or “Everyday People” or any of the TWELVE #1s the Supremes had. I don’t get it…
Next week, back to the regular survey with 1968, featuring a #1 that didn’t make this countdown (though their other two did)!

This week’s Back in the Day Replay, from August 14th, 1999 (a chart they last played just two years ago): It's actually the fourth time this chart has played. Meanwhile only one chart from the entire month of September 1999 has ever aired, and just one time.

The real question is where is 1975? If we don't count the wheel of Casey episodes it has to be a long time.

According to the SXM website, this weekend's Back in the Day Replay will be going with 1995. I really thought they'd be going with 1994 instead, since Lisa Loeb is guest-hosting, rather than a year they'd last played just 3 weeks ago...

Next week’s ‘60s Survey is going back to 1962!

According to the SXM website, this weekend's Back in the Day Replay will be going with 1995. I really thought they'd be going with 1994 instead, since Lisa Loeb is guest-hosting, rather than a year they'd last played just 3 weeks ago... ...so yeah, here's this week's Back in the Day Replay, from August 19th, 1995... At least there's a good batch of newer songs in this countdown. More than I expected, honestly... 1994 OR 1990 NEXT PLEASE! Yeah 3 of the songs were debuts this week (Montell, Coolio & D'Angelo). Dionne Farris, Soul Asylum and Blessid Union of Souls were the droppers. I'm just gonna say... anything but 1993 (since apparently 93 and 95 are the only years in the 90s BITDR seems to remember)!!

Any chance SiriusXM makes their own 70s countdown once the rights to Casey Kasem's American Top 40 is expired? While I enjoy listening to Casey Kasem's version, it's really annoying that they're not able to put the shows on-demand.

Not only is this the third month in a row to feature a 1995 chart, but two of the three charts were repeats from two years ago.

While I enjoy listening to Casey Kasem's version, it's really annoying that they're not able to put the shows on-demand. The reason American top 40 the 70s is not on demand is due to it coming from Premiere radio networks. They have been actively protecting the copyright of their program. Then Sirius XM almost always airs a different week than premiere's regular offerings.
