Maybe this was 90s way of shaking things up considering it's the same chart they aired last year.

Thank You very much grizmeister. What about 90 shows? It was luck that these shows were still on demand, they usually expire after two weeks.

02 (02) Puff Daddy f/ R. Kelly - Satisfy You
And the 90s played Satisfy You, they have been known to skip that song.

And the 90s played Satisfy You, they have been known to skip that song. Robert's name didn't show up on the display & DTJB didn't mention him during the song intro either, I guess they just missed that he was on the song. I'm not complaining either way, I've always been against muting him out of the countdowns (partially bcuz they still play artists like Rolf Harris, Bill Cosby, Gary Glitter & Chris Brown whenever they show up)

Michael1973 could you please post what was playing on chart shows on 80 and 90 from july till october? Your last post was at the end of june. Usually you post this details every 2 months I will try to get some updated lists posted soon. I tend to only think about doing this when I don't have time to do it, and it's very easy to put it off. Now that I know people actually read it, I'll definitely work on it.

I forgot most dates though I remenber they did a July 30th, 1988 then a n August 13th, 1988 two weeks later. Then the weekend of July 15th was July 15th 1989 and July 11th, 1998.

Unfortunately its looking alot of potential repeats coming up if they follow the same progression they've been doing. After 81 they likely do 12/6/86 then we get 1983..a repeat of last year then some combo of 82, 85 and 88 to finish the year assuming no specials. Late December 85 and 88 were done last year. Then we begin 2024 with another repeat from last year 1980.

Followed by repeat of 12/10/83 from last year. And maybe we’ll get a new Dec 18, 1982 chart countdown unless they change the order up, but honestly I don’t know where this is headed

I doubt they do 83 and 82 back to back again

50 Cent's "Baby By Me" (#31) was played instead for absolutely no reason
Another weird substitution considering they played Justin Bieber's One Time before.

If they go with 1986 next week. It will be the fifth time we get 12/6/1986. It’s been aired in 2015, 2018, 2020, and 2021. Followed by repeat of 12/10/83 from last year. And maybe we’ll get a new Dec 18, 1982 chart countdown unless they change the order up, but honestly I don’t know where this is headed.
It will be 1981 for Thanksgiving, then 1986. Maybe there could be a switch because we already had our run of consecutive years since they seem to do it only once a year. Hopefully they switch 1986 since after hearing the same week enough times, you remember where each song will be in the countdown.

So, after avoiding 1996 and 1999 for months, we get them in consecutive weeks and both were repeats from last year. Solid planning there.
Also, I can't help but think that if we hadn't gotten a double dose of 1988 over the summer, the upcoming cluster of repeats wouldn't be nearly as bad.

There must have been some error or something went goofy that we got 1988 then 1988 two weeks later.

With the New Years coming in about five weeks, Hope the 80's might dream up some fresh Idea, maybe they do a big 1,000 but with listener votes, like the 60s and 70s did.
