did they reinstate Kanye West? Apparently so, as "Through the Wire" and "Slow Jamz" were both played. But R. Kelly apparently remains beyond the pale.

Does anyone know why 1970 isn’t aired in the first half of the year on 70s on 7? American Top 40 premiered on the Fourth of July 1970, so there's no shows from the first half of that year. They'll do at least one special each year on the 60s survey covering that time, but usually that's just covering the bigger hits (I'd personally love for them to go back to regular Jan-Jun 1970 surveys).

Both the 80s and 90s shows featured charts dated April 10th, and both were "new." It was also only the third time in eleven years that the month of April 1993 was featured.

The Kanye ban is officially done. During regular rotation I heard Gold Digger.

I notice lately the 80s on 8 VJs will announce the big 40 countdown one date earlier than the actual charting date. Tonight they began with April 13th instead of April 14 1984. Hoping they can fix this soon.

Been awhile since we’ve had a repeat from two years ago, and with a chart they also played two years before that! Oh, it gets better. The 4/12/97 has been played every other year since 2015. That's five times and counting...

I wonder if anybody can remember all the chart dates featured on the big 40 since they permanently switched to billboard in 2012? All this talk about repeats on the other flashback shows got me wondering?
