Last night on WQBX, another semi-local Hot AC, they had some kind of "weekend retro" show. During said show, I heard "Perfect Way" by Scritti Politti and "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors.
It's hard for me to believe that a song as catchy as "Perfect Way" would only peak at 10 back in late 85, though it does sound like something that would fit right in in the early 90s.
"Turning Japanese" has to be one of the funniest songs I've ever heard, even if I can't remember what the song's about.

Over the weekend, I heard two obscure songs, and neither of them were on WEFM. They were both on 94.9 The Coast, a Hot AC station in Benton Harbor. On Friday, as I was driving to an ethnic dinner, I heard "Dumb Girls" by Lucy Woodward. The only time I remember hearing that song was on the Rick Dees show.
Yesterday afternoon, as I was out driving around, I heard "Wishing You Were Here" by Natalie Imbruglia. The DJ said that she was coming up in the next set of music and I was thinking surely they must be playing "Torn". But they surprised me, and other people, I'm sure.

Well, I'm not gonna say it. You don't have to. I looked it up. Heh... good. My only hint was gonna be that it would be an appropriate song to hear on Jack-FM.

i heard "I feel For You" by Chaka Khan late at night the other day. I don't consider that to be obscure at all since it still gets a pretty good amount of airplay. Maybe where you live stations don't play it much, so I could see how you may consider it obscure. Yesterday on WYOY, I heard "The Hitman" by AB Logic. That's my first time ever hearing it.

The next time I'm in the "Thumb" area, I need to give WLEW a listen. I love being able to hear obscure songs. I don't ever recall listening to them when I was there in November, though.

"It's Tricky" by Run-D.M.C. on WFLZ (I guess I'd consider it obscure, for a pop station that rarely plays anything from before this decade).

Just heard "The One Thing" by INXS on Joe FM. I heard this today on my "Bob FM" station. One of my favorites from the early INXS years.

Today on WYOY: "Promise Of A New Day" from Paula Abdul. Not exactly obscure, but I will agree that it's not played often. Actually, around here it's usually either "Straight Up" or nothing.
