This is a song I've heard a few times in stores, but I can never figure who sings it. It's a female singer, and it sounds kinda recent. This is a lyric from the chorus: "He loves summer sunshine, I miss you, and nobody else needs to know." Anyone know what this is? "Summer Sunshine" by The Corrs. The chorus is: In the heat of summer sunshine I miss you like nobody else In the heat of summer sunshine I kiss you, and nobody needs to know

I was in the grocery store today and I heard "In Walked Love" by Expose (1993). I hadn't heard that in many years.

Over the weekend, I heard Cheap Trick's "Don't Be Cruel" at the grocery store and John Mellencamp's "Pop Singer" at a restaurant. I hear "Don't Be Cruel" on Jack FM.

I thought it would've been some teeny-bop type singer or something like that. I also can't believe this song only came out last year. I know I said it was recent, but I didn't think it was that recent.

^^ Yes, it is by Danny Wilson.
I think I'm just gonna go to these stores just to hear obscure songs.

Here's another one which I can't figure out. Again, female singer, possibly Latino, and for some reason I think it's Paulina Rubio, but that's just a guess. Here's a good estimation of the chorus.
"After all they say, do they still say no After all they say, turn away from her and go ... Was it really just a lie?"

At Old Country Buffet, I heard "Don't Let Him Steal Your Heart Away" by Phil Collins, which I think would qualify as an obscure song, since it's all but ignored by AC stations anymore, just a few months after it dropped off the chart.
I also heard "For Your Babies" by Simply Red, and as I said in another topic, I heard "Stars" there a few weeks ago. I guess it's only a matter of time before I hear "Something Got Me Started" at that restaurant. I'm usually there for only about four or five songs, since I'm a pretty quick eater.

I heard "Little Red Light" by Fountains of Wayne at a restaurant the other day. And I heard something by Pete Yorn (can't remember which song) at Home Depot.

"After all they say, do they still say no After all they say, turn away from her and go ... Was it really just a lie?" Delerium - After All It was a dance hit thanks to remixes. It got a few Open House Party spins, but that was it for the song's mainstream exposure. I don't remember who the vocalist was, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't anyone famous.

At Stop & Shop last night:
"All For Love" - Rod Stewart/Bryan Adams/Sting "You Can't Change That" - Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio (I had to look up Raydio as I had no idea he was the other singer with Ray Jr.)

Heard "Til I Get Over You" by Michelle Branch at CVS yesterday. LOL, you sure do a lot of shopping at CVS. Unfortunately, the CVS in LaPorte usually has easy listening music playing, so no obscure songs to be heard there (that I recognize, anyway). No problem; I can always go to Old Country Buffet. :)

(I had to look up Raydio as I had no idea he was the other singer with Ray Jr.) Heh, actually Raydio is the name of the group (Ray was the lead singer/guitarist before he went solo). :) Heard "Til I Get Over You" by Michelle Branch at CVS yesterday. LOL, you sure do a lot of shopping at CVS. Nearly everyday... it's right next door to where I work.

Heard "Til I Get Over You" by Michelle Branch at CVS yesterday. I heard that at my graduation family luncheon at Red Lobster last month. Actually, I always tend to hear obscure-ish music while at Red Lobster, I remember hearing M2M's "Everything You Do" a while after it came out a few years back.

Today at McDonald's I heard the Kenny Rogers/Sheena Easton version of "We've Got Tonight". I always liked this much better than the Bob Seger original, but according to today's radio programmers it no longer exists.

I'm not sure if these songs are obscure, just heard them earlier today at Meijer: Baby Can I Hold You - Tracy Chapman Too Much Heaven - Bee Gees We Built This City - (oops, forget the group's name)

I still hear it on Sunny 101.5's Totally 80s Weekends every weekend. "Too Much Heaven" isn't really obscure either. It's still occasionally played on oldies based AC stations. Now "Baby Can I Hold You" by Tracy Chapman - THAT is an obscure song. Didn't peak too high on the charts and the radio station I listened to only played it a few times.
