I heard "Something's Got Me Started" by Simply Red today, not once, but twice! I heard it this morning at one grocery store and earlier this evening, I went to Kroger and heard it there. After the airing at Kroger, it was followed by "Angelia", my favorite Richard Marx song.

I heard "Make A Move On Me" at the gym today. Odd... you'd expect to hear "Physical" there instead.

The Lenny Kravitz song that I hear on Jack FM is his late 2001 hit "Dig In".
Yesterday, when I was at Deep River Water Park in Merrillville, Indiana, I heard "C'est La Vie" by B*Witched.

I heard "Beauty on Fire" by Natalie Imbruglia at Kohl's, I was like what? I know this song! It's odd because I don't think it was ever even released in the U.S.

I heard "Beauty on Fire" by Natalie Imbruglia at Kohl's, I was like what? I know this song! It's odd because I don't think it was ever even released in the U.S. One time a few years ago I was outside an Outback Steakhouse and their piped-in music in their outside waiting area was playing "Pure and Simple" by the first UK Pop Stars winning group Hear'Say. I know that was never released on the U.S., so that was wierd. At least that Natalie Imbruglia album, if not the single, came out over here. KB Toys likes to play a lot of semi-obscure flop songs from the last late '90s early '00s teen pop boom.

Had to bring this one back to life. Today, at a Kroger store, I heard "Live For Your Love" by Natalie Cole. Three weeks ago at a Captain D's, I heard Wilson Phillips' version of the Elton John hit "Daniel". Not too long before that, at a Pilot gas station, I heard "I'm Still Here" by Vertical Horizon.

If there were a gold chart for stores, "Tonight And The Rest Of My Life" would definitely be #1. I swear I hear that song at least once a month while I'm shopping.

I heard two neat songs at Boston Market the other night. "Careful" by Guster. And the Tabitha's Secret version of "3AM". I had never heard any Tabitha's Secret on any radio ever before. Cool!

Eating at a Krystal one night, I heard "99" by Toto... One of my favorites from Toto... I heard 99 at Denny's a year or two ago. I think that song gets more airplay in stores than it does on the radio these days..

I have heard "The Letter Song" by Tyler Hilton, one of my favourite songs of 2005, at one of our markets - twice!! This despite his CD not being officially released in Canada!!

I heard "The Flame" by the Fine Young Cannibals at Bob Evans yesterday afternoon. Seems to me I had heard it somewhere else in the past few weeks - I'm thinking Walgreen's, but I can't be sure. That song topped my personal Top 30 chart in early 1997, during a relatively weak period of time, when not many good songs were out, plus late 1996/early 1997 wasn't a very good time period personally.

Seems to me that Pilot gas stations are the best places to hear obscure songs. This morning, I heard "Holding On" from Steve Winwood. I hadn't heard that in probably 15 years!

"Stole" by Kelly Rowland! LOVED this song, and heard it playing in a dept store the other day. I really wish she would've been a bigger solo act.

At a grocery store today, I heard Rod Stewart's "Leave Virginia Alone". Another one of those songs I hadn't heard in over a decade. Yesterday, at a Fred's dollar store, I heard a portion of Richard Marx' "Angelia". They cut "Angelia" off during the guitar and saxophone solo in the middle. I hate when stations do that.

I recently heard "Dirty Cash (Money Talks)" by the Adventures Of Stevie V at Kroger's supermarket. I hadn't heard that song since late 1990, when it was part of B96's Top 96 of 1990 countdown.

You'd think that song would be a little less obscure, since it was the last hit song by Chicago on which Peter Cetera sang lead. It wasn't really anything special, however, maybe that's why. The Chicago song from that era that gets the most Gold airplay, mainly on AC stations, would have to be "You're The Inspiration". I occasionally hear "Hard Habit To Break", though not as much as I'd like to, since that's my favorite song from that album.
