:o :o
I COMPLETELY forgot about this until just a few minutes ago when I was looking up her song peaks.
So far this has been her lowest peaking song to reach the chart. It reached #34 and spent 8 weeks on in the begining of 2002.
It wasn't that great. It was definately a risky single and it's peak shows that.

I like it. I remember when Casey did a whole story on how the last "On The Radio" to hit the Top 40 was by Donna summer. :)

I think it's a grower. Following two songs that did well, it makes sense that this one didn't since people probably weren't willing to wait to grow on it.

I always found this to be better than TOTL & ILAB. Too bad it didn't achieve their success because it deserved to be a big hit. "Whoa, Nelly" is awesome album as a whole, as well as "Folklore" and my favorite, "Loose."

I wasn't overly crazy about the song. It was OK.

This song describes her current single. This song perfectly describes Smelly Potato in full and her whole "career". It's sh!t. Sh!t On The Radio, indeed. (IMHO).

I love this track but I love pretty much all of Nelly's work. It's definitely one of my faves.

Great track. Probably my favorite from her along with "Say It Right" and "Legend".

Loves it. I probably would have picked "Party" as the third single from Nelly's debut though.

It was hilarious when my college town's pop radio station played this and one day the CD got stuck at where she says, "shit on the radio." It was never edited on that radio station either, so it repeated. I thought it might be funny if I pretended I had a six year old daughter or something listening to the song, as a phone call.
That being said, I don't really care for this song. Not awful, just boring. "Turn Off the Light" was the only single I really liked from the first album.

Loves it. I probably would have picked "Party" as the third single from Nelly's debut though. Party would have worked, the same goes for a handful of other tracks. But I think the surefire hit that never was has to be Baby Girl. Although the value of Whoa, Nelly! has diminished through the years, it worked when initially released. Major standouts are Baby Girl, Trynna Find A Way, Shit On The Radio, I Will Make U Cry, and Turn Off The Light

This was easily my favorite single from her first album. Such an earworm, it held up very well.
