Well my friends we had the one hit wonders and next up in my little topic here is the "No Hit Wonders". The ones that fell flat on their faces attempting to make a hit record, (and you know the ones I'm talking about, now!)
Raven Symone - "That's What Little Girls Are Made Of'
Cree Summer
David Austin Greene
The Braxtons
Sherman Hensley (1989) - I saw it on BET (forgot the name of the song)
Sinbad - "I Ain't Lyin' "
Tomi Jenkins (of Cameo) - (1989) - one video seen on BET, and he can't sing.
Damon Hall (of Guy) - "Satisfy You (w/ Chante Moore)"
Jamie Foxx (graduated from that status after he released "Unpredictable")
Nick Kamen - "Each Time You Break My Heart" Popular club hit in the US and pop hit all over Europe. Produced by Stephen Bray and Madonna (who discovered the guy). I don't believe this guy has singing talent, should have stuck to modeling.
Holly Johnson (of Frankie Goes To Hollywood) - "Love Train" Careful not an O'Jays remake but top ten in the UK and flopped inthe US.
Jackie Jackson - "Stay" Released in 1989 from the oldest brother of the Jacksons.

Brie Larsen - She Said (or whatever her song that was featured on AT40 as a new single at least once).

David Austin Greene I think you're referring to Brian Austin Green (who just made a minor comeback of sorts co-starring on the now-cancelled "Freddie").

You can basically add any Model who attempts a pop career to this list. Naomi Campbell, Caprice, Tyra Banks.... I like Naomi and Caprice's songs though.

I remember 'Revelation Sunshine'. That was a Top 30 hit for me. Does anyone happened to have the mp3? LOL

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Tyrese modeling before he hit the pop chart? He may have. I remember he was on a Sprite commercial (or was it Coke?) in which he was singing while riding on a bus. This was before "Sweet Lady" came out. One no-hit wonder: Chunky A (Arsenio Hall's alter ego).

Sherman Hensley (1989) - I saw it on BET (forgot the name of the song) I believe it's "Ain't That A Kick In the Head". Also, the late Rodney Dangerfield had a couple of songs that got nowhere: "Rappin' Rodney" and his remake of "Twist & Shout". A couple of more I thought of: Ana, who had a song called "Bounce Back". She also did a duet with Jordan Knight of NKOTB (don't know the title). There was Seiko, who did a duo with NKOTB'er Donny Walberg called "The Right Combination". And then there's Gina Go-Go with "I Can't Face the Fact".

Lauren Christy - She barely made it into the top 50 for a few weeks with Magazine but missed "The Color Of The night" (my fave song of all time) completely.

Katy Segal (spelling) had a potential hit played on Rick Dees show that never made the chart.

"How Do I Deal" and "Barenaked". Anyway she did not perform too poorly considering she did not crack the top twenty.

How about David Hasselhoff? He tried a remake of "Do You Love Me" in the '80s that went nowhere?
A favorite no-hit wonder of mine is the Gipsy Kings - a Latin-flavored flamenco band that might have had some hits on the Latin chart, but nothing on the mainstream charts (pop or AC).

^ I was about to mention Robbie Williams, he's had two songs on the Hot 100 but only got as far as #41. If you compare that result with the success he has worldwide...
And I think the Beatles, MJ, Talking Heads, Diana Ross, Korn and Kiss shouldn't belong here, since they've all had success, if not singles-wise at the very least with album sales (see Korn). Those singles are more like underperforming or not released in the US (see "Gone Too Soon").

The Violent Femmes were another no-hit wonder.
Almost everyone is familiar with "Blister in the Sun", which has gotten far more attention in the last few years than it did in its initial release in 1983.

"Your Secret's Safe With Me" by Michael Franks I remember that song, from the fall of 1985. The song sounded a cross between "Smooth Operator" and "Shattered Dreams". It did not make a dent in Pop radio, but was a Top Ten hit on the AC chart.

No way is Michael Franks a no hit wonder. "Popsicle Toes" alone is enough to dispel that idea.
