I hope this hasn't been posted yet. This is the perfect example of a song I hated but ended up loving a couple of years later. I've become a fan of theirs since and this is my favorite track off of Parachutes. The song is so well crafted and the video, though simple, works so well. I love it!

This is my favorite Coldplay single, because it's the song that made me fall in love with the group. :)

My favorite song by Coldplay. I'm not a fan of theirs particularly. But do agree that Yellow is a great song.

Yuck yuck yuck. I really dislike this song. It's just plain boring and annoying.

Never a fan but I love 'Trouble'! I also like that Tori Amos "borrows" the piano from 'Trouble' for her new single. lol

I love this song. Takes me back to early 2001, and all the leisurely drives I took.

Never cared for this song when it came out but now I love it. As a matter of fact I just played it two days ago. I regret not playing it when it was popular.

Despite being one of the most annoying songs of all time, this was still better than most of the stuff on rock radio in 2000! I prefer the Alpha Remix if I'm going to listen to it. Very trippy.

Great song, one of my favorites of theirs, along with "Shiver", "The Scientist", and "Clocks".

I really went crazy for this song in the Summer of 2000. Now I still like it, but it has lost its magic. Also, I'm mad Snow Patrol's 'cover' went on to become a much bigger hit than "Yellow".

I love this song. Most people 10 years from now are going to first think of "Clocks" or "Viva la Vida" when thinking of Coldplay, but for me, it'll always be "Yellow". I took to it almost instantly. Also, I'm mad Snow Patrol's 'cover' went on to become a much bigger hit than "Yellow". I don't see what makes anything Snow Patrol has done a 'cover' of this, though.

Well the "Run" music video may as well had been a response to this one. I don't think the two are all that different honestly. Ironically, I used to get the intro of this confused with Collective Soul's "Run" because the acoustics are similar at that point. I hated this song the first few times out but it grew on me. I always liked the latter two U.S. singles more though.

Ah...well I've never seen the videos, but figured that "Run" being in a minor key, and "Yellow"'s second guitar part and deceptively complicated chord progressions would be enough to separate the two. Anyone could take 60 minutes of guitar lessons and come out being able to play "Run". I'd like to then see them try to tackle "Yellow".

I love "Yellow", though it's not my favorite Coldplay song. It does rank in my top five Coldplay songs.

The one that got it all started. And they STILL don't have a Top 10 yet at CHR.

This is easily my favorite Coldplay song. In fact, this is just one of my favorite songs period. It's just so good.
