For just about a year, AT40 chose to use a different chart than Radio and Records. back then I didn't know anything about the charts, so I didn't care, but I think there was quite a reaction to it on the R&R boards. Does anybody have any copies of the charts used in these shows? I only have the R&R charts, and I would like the unpublished ones because that time period is where my memories of this show really lie. (I'm only 15.)

I do but they're all on paper. I think the online files I have are strictly of R&R's charts but I could double check. I remember this period in AT40 history had some odd chart droppers and stuff. It was never figured out. Personally, I was slightly in favour of this chart because then I could no longer cheat by looking ahead at R&R to see what the show would look like when it aired. On the other hand though, when referring back to past charts, I always used AT40 stats but when AT40 and R&R have different information, there's a conflict there on which one I'd use. I think if I were still following AT40, I'd probably continue using all AT40 stats but I've since moved on and now just refer to my own personal charts for the most part, lol.

Actually, I believe it was just 2000 that had their own year-end chart, since they went back to using the R&R chart in August, 2001 and used that year-end chart, regardless of the fact that they used their own chart for most of that year.
I never got to hear the 2000 year-ender, since no station in my listening area carried AT40, but I did hear that several songs to make the R&R chart were absent from the chart, most notably "He Wasn't Man Enough" by Toni Braxton, which I believe was somewhere in the 20s or 30s on the R&R chart. That made it clear that whoever was in charge of proofreading the chart did a very careless job.

I really only want the weekly charts. I can get the yearends from another source.

"Only Time" made quite a plunge during that time. It went from something like #10 to off the chart.

It reentered though, for some odd reason. The first show I listened to in 2001, which was October, had this on the chart.

^ Wow, I never knew that "Only Time" dropped from the chart from so high up. Are you sure that was during the time that AT40 was using that oddball chart? I could have sworn that song wasn't on the chart (at least not so high up) before August, when they switched back to using R&R.
I do know that "Doesn't Really Matter" by Janet fell clean off the chart from #10, and some song by 'N Sync fell off from just outside the Top Ten.
Anyway, the only charts I have are the AT20 AC charts from that era, since I took notes on the entire chart instead of just the "extra" songs, until they reverted back to R&R.

I actually have a quick list on my old AT40 website (that I haven't updated in five years but it is still there) regarding songs that fell off from high. Here's the list and the position they were last on the chart.
Position Title - Artist Weaks in Top 40 10 Doesn't Really Matter - Janet 16 11 Don't Tell Me - Madonna 17 11 Nobody Wants To Be Lonely - Ricky Martin & Christina Aguilera 9 12 Dance With Me - Debelah Morgan 24 12 Come On Over, Baby - Christina Aguilera 18 12 If You're Gone - Matchbox Twenty 26 13 He Wasn't Man Enough - Toni Braxton 21 13 Country Grammar - Nelly 14 13 Shape Of My Heart - Backstreet Boys 13 13 Most Girls - Pink 23 13 Independant Women - Destiny's Child 22 13 He Loves U Not - Dream 27 13 Never Had A Dream Come True - S Club 7 14 13 Angel - Shaggy featuring Rayvon 23
Here is that site. www.geocities.com/americantopforty/ I think I should bring this site back up again maybe but focus only on R&R's chart from post-PPW (mid 1994-present) because I think it's interesting and fun. The only thing stopping me now though is that all of my information isn't in one place. I don't have a single Excel file that contains all of R&R's charts. My excel file ends at 2002, I believe, and I think it is only R&R charts so it didn't convert with AT40 when they did... but I'm not positive about that. Either way, we should have a topic here at least, that can extend/update on the records I have listed in there, and more! It would be neat!

"Only Time" dropped off the chart on Dec. 8-9, 2001 from #13.

I take it it went recurrent on a skipped chart week because of the yearend?

Just to remind everyone, if anybody has any complete records of the unpublished AT40 charts, I would please like a copy. PM me for more details.

I take it it went recurrent on a skipped chart week because of the yearend? It wasn't a skipped chart. It had just been on the CHR/Pop chart for 20 or more weeks and took an unusually large drop out of the Top 20. I guess its popularity brought on by the September 11 attacks had worn off by then.

I've got the 2001 charts, even though a few songs are missing. If anybody send me the 200 charts, I would prefer if they were in a chart listing format and not a spreadsheet.

Wasn't there one more AT40 Mediabase used chart in the last weekend of September 2001 since R&R chart suspended all its charts for a week following the September 11, 2001 tragic events?

The only information on the 2000 charts I have is from this link: www.angelfire.com/fl3/musicdays/at40songs2001.html(There are a few 2000 holdovers from November and December.) If anyone has any of the charts specifically from late 2000 (and 2001 if you can; the spreadsheet I was sent was corrupted by my e-mail scanner) I would greatly appreciate it.

From scouring the old R&R forums on the Wayback Machine, I managed to obtain a few more charts. The only ones I need now are: 11/5 11/12 11/19 11/26 12/3 12/10 12/17 I think that's all the rest of the 2000 charts. I might also need the first 2001 chart as well. And just to clarify, these are AT40 charts and not R&R. Thanks in advance to anyone who isn;t sick of me yet and tries to help me out here.

www.rronline.com. Then click on Message Boards. Be careful though, only a handful of the links work.

I wish AT40 now would use charts that have radical recurrent rules.

Aww... my old AT40 website. I kinda miss it. But yeah, geocities closed down shop years ago.
