This is still her best song. It's aged extremely well.

One of my favorite pop songs of all time. And while not better than the original, I would like to point out my love for the Riprock N Alex G Street Mix which I found out about in 2007 when an EP of Genie in a Bottle remixes suddenly appeared on iTunes, and most of them, including this one had never been commercially released before.

Love this song - it's so breezy and fun, great release for a summer song!
The melody, the vocals, it's just so catchy - perfect pop song!

Among her early hits, this has aged the best. A very good song and I'm glad that nowadays it's one of the most played song from that decade. Never fails to cheer me up when I hear it in the store or while shopping in the mall.

I'll take Christina's debut over any of her other albums anyday, and this is the best song from it. A pop classic.

Sounds like one big orgasm. LOVED this song. I remember watching videos late at night during the summer of 1999 and thinking who's this extra light skin black girl with blond hair? LOL this song defined summer 1999 and still sounds good today. My favorite arrangement was on the STRIPPED tour when she turned it into a rock song. I hate she doesn't perform it like that anymore.

It's a classic at this point, but I will say I enjoy "What A Girl Wants" and "Come On Over" over this one. I remember watching videos late at night during the summer of 1999 and thinking who's this extra light skin black girl with blond hair?

I never got the hype for this one. The production is really monotonous. I prefer "What A Girl Wants" and especially the video version of "Come on Over."

Probably my least favorite single from that album, but that’s only a testament to how strong her singles (and their services versions) were. Iconic debut single. It was a song that litters my earliest memories. Haha. In a positive way.

It was definitely the strongest debut lead single out of Britney, Mandy Moore, and Jessica Simpson.
This how I would rank her singles from her debut album:
1) I Turn To You 2) What A Girl Wants 3) Genie In A Bottle 4) Come On Over

It sucks that I only knew this song when this was interpolated in Camila's Crying In The Club. This one was good actually when I listened to it.

Always loved this, and the Spanish version is pretty cool too ('Genio Atrapado' also got the best remix, courtesy of deleted Flores).

I was never a fan of the teen pop craze of the late 90s/early 00s but I never hated Christina Aguliera as much as Britney Spears. This song is actually decent and the only Christina song I really found annoying was "What A Girl Wants". This song and all the other Christina songs that came after it were heavily played on B96 and defunct 92.5/92.7 Kiss FM when I was younger.

A Pop Classic. I always remember when I first heard this back in Summer of 1999 and picking up the CD Single at the time. This song is great and all the remixes are too good. This was a TRL regular that summer, lots of 1999 memories with this one.

The piano intro is so distinctive and has a beautiful urgency to it.
