This is such a great song! It was on his "Misguided Roses" album and remains one of my favorite songs from 1998. JAM!

I saw that Bo sang this on American Idol.Β I like it a lot.Β I saw on TV that Rob Thomas had Edwin McCain perform this at his wedding and he and his wife did their first dance to it.Β Awwww!Β

I remember how this song took forever to climb into the Top Ten on the CHR/Pop chart. I still wonder what its chart run would have been had the 20/20 rule been in place back then.
The song is good. I like both "I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask For More".

American Idol will not let this song die! LOL.
I like it though.

Didn't this lose its bullet around the 20-week mark? That would've cut its run short right there. (Unless Atlantic chose to do what was done for "Amber" and "Flake" on Alternative, where both returned from recurrent after some time) I like this and "I Could Not Ask For More" about equally.

I didn't begin to appreciate this song until a few years ago. I thought it was really boring and overplayed at the time.

Got annoying after awhile. 'Solitude' is easily Edwin's best song.

Good track, and I like the saxophone melody that goes with this. I'm torn as to how I feel about the chorus. Sometimes I can sing along with it and then other times it just sounds annoying.

I use to love it, but it's gotten worn out, I hate American Idol - they completely killed all that was good about this song.

I'm not sure why a few plays on Ameican Idol would ruin this song for someone... I mean most of us here probably have heard the song hundreds and even thousands of times...
Now I feel like I need to spike it tonight, so I'm gonna do it!

This was slow to develop for me at first, but I grew to love it after a while.

I was never much of a fan of this song. I agree with whichever poster above talked about "Solitude" being better.

When it was first released, I thought it was just ok, but later on I really loved it!

I remember hearing parts of this song many years ago but didn't know the name or artist until recently (thanks old 1998 episodes of AT40). Good tune. music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qrTmNDZ-nc
