Here's a fun little topic! MTV presented this a few years ago. Now I'm going to start this. The same criteria as a one hit wonder would have as mentioned in other topics, really. Two is better than one! A-ha "Take On Me & The Sun Always Shines On TVLita Ford - "Kiss Me Deadly" & "Close My Eyes Forever (w Ozzy Osborne"Extreme "More Than Words" & "Hole Hearted"Young MC "Bust A Move" & "Principal's Office"Terrence Trent D'arby "Wishing Well & "Sign Your Name""Dance Little Sister" kinda flopped in the US just barely making the top 30 compared to the two big hits mentioned. 10cc "I'm Not In Love" & "The Things We Do For Love"Horace Brown - "One For The Money" & "Taste Your Love"Jeremy Jordan - "The Right Kind Of Love" & "Wannagirl"The Good Girls - "Your Sweetness" & "Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart"Joey Lawrence - "Nothing My Love Can't Fix" & "Stay Forever"Will To Power - "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird Medley" & "I'm Not In Love" Both happen to be remakes!!! Clay Aiken - "This Is The Night" & "Invisible"

Kevin Paige - "Don't Shut Me Out" and "Anything I Want." I already mentioned him. More that I can think of: Natural Selection, "Do Anything" and "Hearts Don't Think, They Feel" Jesus Jones, "Right Here, Right Now" and "Real, Real, Real" Boy Krazy, "That's What Love Can Do" and "Good Times With Bad Boys" (depending on GTWBB's chart peak, they may actually be a one-hit wonder) Lisa Fischer, "How Can I Ease the Pain" and "Color Of Love" (did this go top 40?) Sixpence None the Richer, "Kiss Me" and "There She Goes" Animotion, "Obsession" and "Room To Move" Arcadia, "Election Day" and "Goodbye Is Forever" Power Station, "Some Like It Hot" and "Bang A Gong" In the cases of Arcadia and Power Station, both are offspring of Duran Duran, but as individual bands, they both have had two hits. BTW, Fine Young Cannibals had another top 40 hit, "Don't Look Back". Now that I think about, Lita Ford may be a three-hit wonder. She did have another hit, "One Shot Of Poison". I seem to remember that it hit top 40.

In the top 40? Maybe in the UK, but those are the only two I remember.

Lita Ford peaked at #45 with "Shot Of Poison" in 1991 on the Hot 100. Now this track did not match anywhere near the success of her two huge hits. I honestly do not remember "Poison" too fondly.

Switchfoot , Meant To Live and Dare You To Move , those were their only major CHR smash hits to date. How did "Stars" do on the charts? Not well enough to fairly include it in the company of those two songs.

Romantics, "What I Like About You" and "Secrets That You Keep" (though WILAY is debatable because it never hit the top 40 on Billboard, but it's such a recognizable song) The second song you're thinking of is actually called "Talking in Your Sleep". "...I hear, the secrets that you keep...when you're talking in your sleep..."Boy Krazy, "That's What Love Can Do" and "Good Times With Bad Boys" (depending on GTWBB's chart peak, they may actually be a one-hit wonder) "Good Times With Bad Boys" peaked at 21 on R&R and did not go Top 40 on Billboard...but considering that you've listed others whose "second hit" peaked even lower than that (Joe Public, Don Johnson, Tommy Page), I think it only fair to also count Boy Krazy as a two-hit wonder.

Switchfoot , Meant To Live and Dare You To Move , those were their only major CHR smash hits to date. LOL at Switchfoot being a two hit wonder. This topic only covers top 40 radio I presume? Because even if it were mainstream, Stars was a substantial alternative hit. But overall, Switchfoot is more like a 12 hit wonder.

Because even if it were mainstream, Stars was a substantial alternative hit. From what I remember, it peaked at #15 and then had the bottom pulled from under it. Considering MTL and DYTM had slow, long runs into the top 10. I'd say that was disappointing. But you're right, they've had a multitude of Christian hits so perhaps that nullifies that for some.

I never liked these "Two Hit Wonder" or "One Album Wonder" labels. Its just a dumb way to downgrade someone's brief success.

AC listeners would disagree, but for mainstream pop I'd include Dan Hill ("Sometimes When We Touch" and "Can't We Try"). (And yes, I know he had one other song scrape the bottom of the R&R pop top 40.)

Paula Cole. Yeah, she did have 'Me' after her two Top 10s and later on had 'I Believe In Love'. Both songs I like much more than her bigger hits but because 'Cowboys' and 'Don't Wanna Wait' were big hits for her, the other two were trapped in the shadows.
So I'd probably nominate Paula Cole to this topic too.
