I'm PRAYIN that there is NOT another thread for this song. I searched and the only thing that came up was a post about Sheryl Crow or something. Anyway, I remember listening to the radio through my walkman, in the backseat of the car for the first time THINKING this was the nu Britney single! The song was NOT identified after it was played, so I got all excited (being a Brit fan, at the time). I forgot how I found out, but when I did, I was like "Jewel....who's Jewel?" Sadly, it was NOT my Britney. BUT, I still did like the song ALOT and was a great summer tune to listen to. It was the Stupid Girls of 03, with the whole "poking-fun at pop culture" concept. You know, she DOES sound alot like Britney in the song, lol.

This was a #1 song for me but it also fell fast. 'Stand' has stood the test of time alittle better for me. I still usually skip this song.

My Charts

Also a #1 for me. It had to spend 5 weeks at #2 behind "Don't Wanna Try", but I was adamant about having this hit #1. She'd mostly run out of gas by the time she did hit #1, though, and only lasted two weeks before losing it to "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)".
The two debuted around the same time on my chart. For the 5-2-03 chart, I was choosing between this song and Frankie's to debut alongside "American Life". I ended up choosing this song to put at #20 (Madonna was #19), and Frankie went on to debut the next week at #6. Incidentally, Madonna ended up only peaking at #13.

Oh yeah, this song made it to #1 on my original monthly Top 10 PC for the month of June 2003. It debuted the previous month at #7. Totally forgot about my old PC...

Maybe her worst single. I didn't care for it.

I liked this. But I wonder, was Jewel ever called a sellout for doing this?

I was really into this song. The video was great. In my top 3 of that year, for sure.

I liked this. But I wonder, was Jewel ever called a sellout for doing this? Yes. I'm sure some of her dedicated fans didn't like it. I'm not a dedicated fan, but I thought she made "Intuition" just to have a little fun. But she has gone back to her vintage sound, which should make everyone happy.

I remember hearing for the first few times and thought she was saying "...it's your tuition..." like she was talking about college or something.

I did like the CD tho. I'd place it ahead of 'Spirit' a bit but not up to the other two. I LOVE '2 Find U'. That's among my five favourite Jewel songs, I'm sure. I don't know where to place her new CD yet tho.

Hot Shakira "Objection" intro remake! I always think it's the Shakira song when it comes on random on my zen micro!

I liked this. But I wonder, was Jewel ever called a sellout for doing this? of course. every critic called her that after this cd came out. She did sell out. I can't stand this song. It's one of my least favorite songs of all time. If it comes on when i'm in a store, I want to gouge my eyes out. k, maybe that's melodramatic, but I don't like it.

This sounded too much like Shakira's "Objection", except "Objection" was actually good.

I think people are a little over-critical with the whole 0304 project in general.
It was a solid pop album from start to finish and actually, the first Jewel CD that I could listen through without having to skip over any tracks.
"Intuition" was a good song, 'cept for the use of it during those goddamn razor commercials. *cringes*

"Intuition" is such a fun, memorable song, and Jewel sounded so great. It's too bad it didn't get a better reception.

I liked the "old" Jewel better too, but I like this song. Really the only one on 0304 I really enjoyed.

Random, but this was my jam of 2003, and easily one of my all time fave songs! Perfect! I knew it was a huge departure from Jewel's usual sound. The music video is also great. She looks sexy! The lyrics are also great! A classic for me! ;)

I loved this song back in 2003 and I remember being very surprised that she did a song so poppy. The video was great too! :)

I liked this back in the day. I rewatched the video a few months ago and nearly burst out laughing at how old it seems now. I preferred the follow up single though.
