This song is sampled in the Black Eyed Peas brand new hit "Let's Get It Started". I heard the original on several occassions when they had that Burger King commercial. Then in 1995 I felt that the Real McCoy covered the song quite well.

I liked both versions... the original and the Real McCoy remake.

I heard this song a few nights ago on some AM station, I think. Prolly the first time I did.
It's sampled in BEP? Where at?

I like it. I also have this on the WLVG aircheck as posted on page 4 of my AC Sample Hours topic.

I don't believe I've ever heard the original, just Real McCoy's version.

The orginal is played on Oldies stations all the time. Its soooo much better vocally and instrumentally than the Real McCoy version.

I like the Real McCoy version of this song a lot more. But the original is kinda nice too.

The Real McCoy version is amazing and the best version of the song. I was devastated when it could only reached the Top 30. Great things were expected from this. This was one of the four new songs specifically recorded for the American market, and the reason why their album was delayed.
I think the problem was that the album was delayed way too much; it came out long after "Run Away" had peaked.
Cyndi Lauper's version, "Hey Now (Girls Just Want To Have Fun)", was cute too, although not really a cover.

It's OK. The Alltel commercials used to play the original.
