This song was fun and had that distinct intro with the fuzzy radio playing a clip of Jewel's "Foolish Games." It was one of my favorites of 98` and I still don't mind listening to it today.

Didn't like it at first, grew to love it, got sick of it, and now like it again since I only hear it once in awhile.

To notice from "Foolish Games" by Jewel was used in the beginning of the song.
I like it.

To notice from "Foolish Games" by Jewel was used in the beginning of the song. As in "in case you failed to notice..."?! Wow, I never realized that was from "Foolish Games" and never even considered what those words were! I've learned this after hearing "The Way" over and over for five years (I have it as an mp3)...go figure! :)

I don't really like this, it's just really annoying. It grew on me a little bit at one point, but overall I don't like it.

I never really liked this song it was way overplayed. I did like "Out Of My Head" . The lead singer of this band is one of the ugliest lead singer in recent memory that is for sure!!!!

I liked it. I bought their CD used earlier this year so this song was an MT40 hit this past summer as well. It peaked at #24. 'Fire Escape' actually just entered the chart this week too at #39 after months and months of waiting.
I always thought that it was Janet at the beginning of the song where it actually was Jewel. It wasn't until Casey mentioned it once that I realized it was Jewel. Pretty interesting stuff.

Hurray! I love this song and still do today. Itf I had a personal chart in 1998, it definitely would have been #1.
Can you believe that this was #1 on alternative radio for like 10 weeks! :O

I thought this one was excellent. I like all of their singles alright, but they got progressively more disappointing as their career progressively came to an end. Can you believe that this was #1 on alternative radio for like 10 weeks! :O Yes, because it was before they sold themselves out to Hot AC (which is a ridiculous career move for any artist).

this was the second album i bought from only hearing the first song, and i wasn't dissapointed... the thing that truly screwed them over... after the second album flopped (did they get any REAL promotion behind it??) they rushed a "Greatest Hits" package that spelled the desperation of the group... i don't think they'll come back, but they definately screwed themselves over

So many people asked me what this song was and who it was by back in 1998, it started to become a personal running joke. One of the best of that year.

This one never really caught on with me... liked it, but I thought it was VERY overrated and also overplayed... Only got to #16 on my PC...
