I've never been banned but my account was suspended (under Shannon) and I've been issued warnings on more than one ocassion after repeatedly being attacked in Carrie's thread and then defending myself. and when I made a new account in an attempt to distance myself from the animosity I felt from fans of others, gigga PMd me within days to advise me that my warnings from my other account still held true for this account and that I should be on my best behavior. Sorry, but I agree with bliss and I've said as much myself. Personally I admire the fact that bliss won't just sit quitely by while the kellyfans are repeatedly trashed and her threads are trolled without consequence. the truth is it isn't about what is deserved or not deserved in Kelly's threads, it's the way the rules are applied differently depending on which fanbase and/or thread you're posting in. I've been attacked (repeatedly) in Carrie and Avril's thread for simply stating my opinion and not once was there a warning from a mod that this isn't a fanboard. It seems that only Kelly fans aren't allowed to take exception to trolling, we're supposed to just sit here nicely while crap gets force fed to us and then say thanks can I have some more please

Well, people also need to realize that some of these people that attack you may get warned by a mod, but the mods don't discuss who get warnings and who doesn't. I mean I do think the mods need to apply their rules to EVERYONE. lol I don't think that they attack a certain fanbase more or if some things just don't seem as bad as others in their eyes when they actually are. For instance, people would say s**t about the P!nkches and call them St!nkches and what not. Well isn't that basically attacking a fanbase??? I mean its basically attacking P!nk's fans. Yet the mods don't do s**t about it and its rediculous. I know that it was stopped because the P!nkch thing kind of died off, but it still went on and I do see it happening on the board. BUT, maybe we should take this discussion to another thread since this is the Never Again thread. :) Take this discussion to this thread: pulsemusic.proboards48.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=announcements&thread=1178825816:)

a +140 bullet is nothing to be proud of, especially when so many of her fans were rubbing it in everyones face on how it's going to be her next #1 single and rule the radio and billboard charts. This my friends is beyond disappointing. I am not a Kelly hater, and never was. Actually i loved her last album but there's no denying that there was too much biasness on these boards towards her. It goes to show don't ever underestimate the unpredictable Top 40 radio.
I honestly don't think Kelly will even get half the support on radio as she did last time. She got ridiculous amount of airplay in a 2 year span that some artists wouldn't even get in 5 or 10 years! She then came back way too soon. Yeah i know it's 2 years later and blah blah blah, but that's not enough of a gap. She should have waited this album out til Early next year. I predict an Alanis scenario here. After 'Jagged Little Pill' (which received just as much airplay as 'Breakaway'), radio tossed her to the side. She got a couple more hits with 'Uninvited' and 'Thank U'. I can see Kelly getting her last hoorah too before radio totally dumps her. She'll probably get one top ten hit off of this album.

IMO the statement I bolded in red is both). Where are you seeing so many Kelly fans rubbing it in everyones face. Indulge me please and link me up to this rubbing. THANKS!

but she's up against some REALLY high bullets from a week ago. so it's no suprise at all that a song couldn't keep up against increase 1000+ the week before.
this will probably stabalize around tuesday of next week to a +400-500 bullet and stay that way into the top 10.

I'm confused by this statement. I've never seen a kelly fan RUBBING anything in anyone's face... I have however seen almost every professional review this song has received say that it's a surefire #1 HIT! I guess those review were written by fans *shrug* those review can be found here: p101.ezboard.com/fkellyclarksonexpressfrm7.showMessage?topicID=12737.topicI think her fans HOPE it will go to #1 but what fan doesn't hope their artist will get to #1? she really is up against some HUGE songs right now...I'm just glad she seems to be holding her own in an oversaturated market of good songs!

Nor can one track this person's previous posts to see his/her "opinions". Legentina- are you (by chance) a regular poster with say....another screenname ? One more thing, I, like Focus, am requesting a link to the "rubbing in everyone's faces" that you state "so many of her (Kelly Clarkson) fans" do. A lack of response will naturally be viewed (by me) as a retraction of your statement. ;)

wow do you have a link to where RCA admitted to that? I personally never saw any mention of payola regarding Kelly or SUBG...not even during the whole payola scandal that was breaking during Kelly's most successful radio era. I do recall the articles mentioning Avril and various other artists though. YEAH for 21!! and her AI has increased as well! Here's your proof. This article references a document IN the lawsuit, where the Program Director is soliciting a B2K song from a Sony executive, and the exec replies he'll pay $2500 to the P.D. if he'll spin Kelly AS WELL AS B2K. In other words, this shows that execs at ALL subsidiaries of Sony -- not just RCA but Epic too -- were engaged in payola'ing Kelly's songs to radio. So the fact is, SONY DID admit to sending payola for Kelly's songs. Proof right there. If you read the article carefully, its clear that its even likely that the entire investigation began because of the absurd oversaturation of the market of Kelly's songs from her second album, it was that blatant at the time. (Note: This link below is to the original article. But the L.A. Times online only archives the articles on this topic back to the beginning of 2007. I put the link here to show it did exist. If you want more proof than this, you can order a hard copy of the article directly from the L.A. Times. www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-fi-payola9mar09,1,1934205.story?coll=la-headlines-entnews From the Los Angeles Times Spitzer Alleges Payola in Lawsuit The New York attorney general says radio company Entercom sold airplay to record labels.By Charles Duhigg Times Staff Writer March 9, 2006 ... In another document, an Entercom program director sent an e-mail to an executive at Epic Records, discussing airplay of the band B2K. "I'll give you B2K early — and a Guaranteed spot in rotation next week for 1500," the e-mail reads. The Epic executive responded with an offer of $2,500 for airplay of B2K and "Kelly" — presumably the pop star Kelly Clarkson, an artist who records on the RCA label. In July, Spitzer settled a payola investigation with Sony BMG Music Entertainment, the parent company of Epic and RCA. The company paid a $10-million fine and promised to discontinue certain practices. In the wake of that settlement, the attorney general shared the documents he had collected with investigators at the FCC, which soon announced that it was scrutinizing payola scams at hundreds of radio stations. One FCC commissioner, Jonathan Adelstein, called it potentially "the most widespread and flagrant violation of any FCC rules in the history of American broadcasting."

That LA Times writer is assuming that it's Kelly Clarkson, but it's possible they're talking about Kelly Rowland. She's also under Sony.
Bump, Bump, Bump, Stole, and Miss Independent all came out around the same time, if I remember it correctly.

I don't think SUBG got payolla and even if it did...the song was good. If people didn't like the song no amount of payolla would've changed that and eventually the song would've been dropped.

the word PRESUMABLY jumps right out at me in this article! I question why an EPIC record excutive would be paying radio to play song from an artist on a different label? I know they are all under the same "parent" company but they still compete against eachother for sales and stats. I mean it's all about the bottom line and Epic's profits clearly aren't being spent to line the pockets of executives at RCA. here is the what I can only assume is the rest of the article www.arthurmag.com/magpie/?p=1160here's an interesting note...with "kelly" it's only "presumed" to be Kelly Clarkson but in this section it clearly names names: Now don't get me wrong, of course I think Kelly has benefited from the "pay for play" rules that are clearly in effect on radio....but I don't think it's the sole reason for her songs' success. The songs are damn good and people really do seem to love them, hence the almost 6 million in album sales...

Hmmm.... I don't think they should!! You could love a video and hate a song. They are two different concepts and arts. One thing is image, another is sound. Britney has great videos, I love many of them, but I don't think her songs are that great. And I think the opposite goes, too, and I see that unfair. MTV, VH1 awards many times reward an artist popularity but not the quality of the videos, which I think is wrong...
