Buzz is everything in pop music which is a shame, this had bad buzz from the very beginning. I'm not a huge fan of the song at all but it's hardly bad and not deserving of this reaction really. It's still better then so much crap on pop radio.
I'm sure the disc will still sell millions, she has some big singles in the future i'm sure.

I just want this song to die quietly. If it dies now then that gives the record company time to release something worth listening to.

I dont know, since her album isnt coming out for another 2 months it really doesnt need a push on radio so maybe thats why. hopefully they'll drop an even hotter song within a few weeks before her album release.

kelly said her next single is probably gonna be ONE MINUTE. i just dont have high hope for successful radio era this time .... it's too bad, it'll be very hard to get back her massive radio support.
so today is only jimmy kimmel right? and ellen will air on tuesday?

well kelly's vocal was bad that day on daytona, the sound mix is also f**ked up .. im gonna have to listen to the album version to judge on ONE MINUTE. but from the melody of the song, OM also isnt on the same par as SUBG BTHE BOY as a radio singles.

well that sucks that this single is not doing too well. I think it is such a great song. I mean I don't think it has peaked or anything on top 40 yet but I'm expecting top 15 maximum. It just has slowed down so much to do any better IMO. I still can't wait for my concert and CD!

Yea i really didnt like One Minute at Daytona, but the album version could be amazing, so i will wait to judge.
Hopefully Kelly has at least one huge radio friendly single on the album to erase the memory of NA (and possibly OM if it has the same fate) from the minds of the average album buyer and from radio, sorta like Irreplecable did for De Ja Vu and Ring the Alarm, and The Sweet Escape did for Wind it Up.
First singles are important...but i think when you are a big name, it is easier to recover from a weak (commercially speaking) first single than from weak follow up singles (Christina).

Although Kelly mentioned "One Minute" on FUSE, she mentioned on the Today Show other possible singles - "Sober" and "Can I Have a Kiss," the latter of which she said is the favorite of everyone that's heard the album. I also hope "Maybe" becomes a single.
So there's no decision yet on "One Minute" or whatever the second single will be. But I'm sure it will be released before the album drops if this one doesn't go any further. Personally, I hope it's not a fast song like NA... something in between might be better.

Wow, I was expecting Kelly fans to say, "thank god she is releasing One Minute", but apparently this "One Minute" song is not good on first listen either? Wow, what the hell happened.
- All the naysayers on this one are probably set for the year after the downfall of this song, I mean, it was really bad on first listen. It's also bad, when a lot of people, specifically her fanbase, has no idea she has a new song out. When Timberlake, who failed to have even the success Clarkson had with her last album, had Sexyback out last summer, it was a matter of days before everyone was like, "have you heard the new JT single?!?". I don't think I have ever seen a letdown like this following an album in the Modern Era ever.
Also: - Kelly Clarkson was so incredibly sexy on her last album, that it didn't matter who you were, what music you liked whether it was rap or indie rock, EVERYONE, I personally knew at least liked ONE of her songs off of her last album whether it be Breakaway, Behind These Hazel Eyes (the two I consider as two if the best songs in the past thirty years), Since U Been Gone (which literally everyone likes but me), Because Of You, and Walk Away (annoying, but much better than the latest stuff. Anyways, back to her looks, it looks like she took the past year off to vacation, not exercise, just completely step backward. I really doubt Idol was expecting Daughtry to have #1 singles, and Kelly and Elliot Yamin fighting in the 20-30 range....COME ON!?
- Either way, I think this album could be a complete disaster and Kelly would still be okay, unfortunately she would have to head in the Furtado direction (which I won't lie, I really like her latest stuff a lot), and might have to sell out to R&B\HipHop for hits.
- All in all....what happened, whether you are a fan of hers or not, this is a complete disaster, and I hate to say it, I have enjoyed watching the bullet fall so badly just because I didn't agree with the song choice they picked as her lead single. It made me feel more smart than her promotion team, which is hilarious, considering a bunch of posters in a Music Board seemed to know more than people who are getting paid millions to find her success, you know?

This song seemed to have a really good reception from fans and critics when it first came out, so I'm surprised to see it in such a poor state right now. It's not as radio-friendly as her other singles, but it's not a huge departure from her old sound either. I just think expectations were so high and that her previous singles were so good that it pales in comparison to them for some people (though I think this song is better). On the radio they're still playing "SUBG" instead of the new single.

Wow, I was expecting Kelly fans to say, "thank god she is releasing One Minute", but apparently this "One Minute" song is not good on first listen either? Wow, what the hell happened. We've only heard "One Minute" once - at Daytona. I like it a lot, but I guess some others don't. IMO it's impossible to judge a song based on one live performance. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the concert performances of BTHE and SUBG since Kelly's always jumping around (like she did at Daytona), but we all know those are great songs. Anyways, back to her looks, it looks like she took the past year off to vacation, not exercise, just completely step backward. And did you seen her on Letterman, Today, TRL or Ellen? She looks fantastic! - Either way, I think this album could be a complete disaster and Kelly would still be okay, unfortunately she would have to head in the Furtado direction (which I won't lie, I really like her latest stuff a lot), and might have to sell out to R&B\HipHop for hits. She'll never go to hip-hop. That's not Kelly. She'd just go back to straight pop or record a country album, which she plans to eventually do anyways. I hate to say it, I have enjoyed watching the bullet fall so badly just because I didn't agree with the song choice they picked as her lead single. No, something tells me you definitely DON'T hate to say it.

ummm no it's not... it was down to 110 just a few days ago... what you weren't here celebrating? I say this: 22 21 KELLY CLARKSON Never Again 3526 3397 129 20.688 Those who would love nothing more than this song to flop might be in for a long wait. This song is yo-yoing like crazy... it's up then it's down so I'm not sure what it's gonna do but I do know that the media are reporting this as already being a SMASH hit...every review has been 100% positive and I think it takes more than a few days after the promotion to see the effects, if there will be any that is. I was AT that performance and trust me when I tell you, her vocals weren't bad AT ALL! she was however in the middle of a HUGE racetrack with crap acoustics and perhaps what people heard on television wasn't spectacular.... in what way is this a disaster? She's still #4 on itunes, she's #2 on ratethemusic, right behind Pink, she's got a video on TRL that's currently sitting in the top position, her bullet is in the positive, her audience impressions are growing every day and her spins are going up too. So I guess I just don't see the disaster in this song. SUBG took MONTHS to take off so why the belief that this song won't do the same thing too? No one is guaranteed an automatic radio hit IMO... Kelly's songs have to work just like anyone elses' and that's just what it's doing. IF this song had a huge bullet still after the initial excitement I feel that people would be screaming PAYOLA PAYOLA PAYOLA because songs don't start that strong and stay that way for extended lengths of time. They either rise slowly and build up to that huge bullet or start with a huge bullet then stablize and slowly regain momentum after the call-out information comes in. This song is barely over 3 weeks old and it's sitting right outside the top 20, after Kelly's been away from radio and promo for over a year... Pop radio is fickle... they have their little cliques and it's just taking time for them to remember what a fun friend Kelly is to have in the group that's all.

1. i forgot about 110 bullet. so you are right. this is not the lowest point. 2. about daytona, maybe i didnt say it right. Kelly's vocal might have been fine cuz u were there, but the audio didnt come off good at all on TV. the point is that we could not judge 'one minute' from that performance.
3. i'm rooting this song to flop? lol you are funny lol. while i dont think NA is a great first single or single period at that matter, i do not root this song to fail.
4. people who think NA is in the same league as a single with SUBG and all her singles from breakway and MI are only kidding themselves. NA is a great song, but not for a pop radio single, let alone the 1st single oh well i knew kelly would proved me wrong one more time with this, this might take off and go straight to #1 soon ...=)
5. kelly said on FUSE that One Minute is PROBABLY will be the next single meaning (2nd after NA). kelly said on TODAY show, SOBER might be a single later on (3rd or 4th etc) kelly NEVER said Can I Have A Kiss will be a single. She said CIHAK is becoming everyone's fave track on the album. she never mention CIHAK will be a single later

the Letterman performance was much better than the Today show. but i worry about her voice (i've actually said that since she performed SUBG on the video music awards. i think nodes on her vocal chords are pretty much innevitable at this point), she seems to be doing the same as mariah. sings fine most of the time, but the big notes are rough around the edges. oh well, she's still better than almost anyone else on any chart.
