I read on Wikipedia that LeLe and Justin Timberlake were doing a duet of I Will Always Love You for the new album. It was on Wiki though, so it's possibly wrong.
I hope that they do though...

Yes, I like Toby Gad. Hopefully he'll do something great with Leona. I'd love a IIWAB type song, but obviously with a better concept and lyrics.

NY post article New Leona Lewis Leak: 'Perfect Stranger'Remember that UK import with the banging voice and smokin' hot body? No, not Susan Boyle, but close. I am talking about Leona Lewis, silly. Well either Leona was afraid we were beginning to forget her like some fading photo in a "Back to the Future" movie, or her music team simply got a lazy and let some new tracks leak over the weekend. The best of which is called "Perfect Stranger," a single produced by the ultra fly Ryan Tedder, and let's just say this sucker is nuclear. Ryan even appears on the bridge, giving us a little taste of his One Republic sound. Including Tedder, Leona Lewis is scrambling to make her album release with the help of power producers like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. And by the sound of this track, Leona, along with the three T's of power pop hits, are bringing us some of the hottest material since Kelly Clarkson's CD was released earlier this year. "Perfect Stranger" will make you want to become friends with every crazy white-haired guy you can find. Just one of them may be able to tinker with a DeLorean and shoot you forward to November, when the rest of her album is set to sizzle our pants off. Give Google a massive pummel and maybe you can find the track and judge for yourself blogs.nypost.com/popwrap/archives/2009/07/leona_lewis_new_single.html

Totally fake story, not a hope in hell, not while Whitney is still alive. I'd say no reason to underperform at all. Teaming with Justin means singing below standard. Plain and simple. This is not to discredit Justin in any way, but his voice simply isn't up to this kind of game. Needless to say the song I Will Always Love You, an original by Dolly Parton is already perfected by Whitney Houston. Leona did the Whitney version justice on the X Factor, but releasing it as her own material is irrelevant IMO.

The I Will Always Love You story has been rubbished months back by Clive Davies, Leona and Justin. They've been writing together and working on new songs. Justin is only providing some backing vocals

Someone on a forum said that an item on E! Entertainment a couple days ago claimed that the Leona album had triple the budget of the Whitney one.

That's a good sign. This needs to be the album that fully establishes her as a huge-selling artist worldwide. Spirit started the job, this one needs to cement it.

^ Yeah, if these leaks are indicative of the quality throughout the album, Leona could be looking at an album of the year nom.
If they are all Tedder produced then she said she was writing with Tedder, which means she will have writing credits on them as well. We won't know that for sure until the songs get registered with ASCAP.
Still, going on this quality, she should just dump all the other producers and just lock herself in a room with Ryan and do the whole album themselves, they obviously click together artistically.
Strange thing is, other than "strangers", I'm not hearing Tedder at all in these songs, I definitely see Leonas old writing style in IGU.

I'm more excited about what the lesser-known collaborators will bring to the table to be honest. I think that's where the real magic will happen. Ryan's great and all, and the leaks are very catchy and commercial, but artistically there's still a lot more room for her to mature. I'm hoping no more than 2 or 3 of his songs make the album.

Leona could in now way touch vintage Whitney (or Mariah) either, so I'm not sure what tangent you're off on.

^I'd recommend a trip to YouTube. When you're there type: "Leona Lewis I Will Always Love You" in the search bar. Then, sit back and prepare to be proved wrong.

Justin might be good for what he does, but he's not a strong vocalist. I believe he even admitted to that himself. Just a "cool singer" who does his thing in today's Pop culture. I think that somewhere you know this. Leona doesn't touch vintage Mariah or Whitney, but she does deliver the best Pop vocal around today. I don't see these voices blend together at all, unless Leona does some serious holding back to deliver a generic Hip Pop vocal. Something I can't say I'm interested in.

Thanks for posting. I really like the sound of that, especially with the strong lead and follow up singles. Also by the sound of that it seems the lead single's been decided. Exciting!

Wow they have something as strong as Bleeding Love, now that I have got to hear. I don't buy it, just label hype. Before Spirit was released they said potentially every track could be a single. lol.

I'm just glad they acknowledged that the 2nd and 3rd singles from Spirit weren't that strong and they'll need better ones this time.

Hoping Ryan does something a wee bit different for her especially with the chorus. With Halo, Already Gone, Bleeding Love, Battlefield, etc...it just tends to repeat.

He's not doing stuff for her, he's doing stuff with her...they are cowriting. and yes the leaked tracks are completely different to those songs as you would expect because they are not off-the-shelf items. For her, I think it was a case of, been there-done that now move on to something else. That's probably why she rejected Halo.
