Excerpt from latest Billboard Magazine, talking about Fall releases. Didn't they say this about the first album? That "all the songs could be singles" or something to that effect. They sound pretty off the shelf to me. Having said that, I have a feeling (thanks to a lot of top class help) the album is going to be one of the best of the year. Despite the fact she isn't close to being the best pop vocalist out there at the moment.

GOOD GIRL GONE BAD! Leona Lewis adds hip-hop producer "Bangladesh" to her new album!
Hip-hop hitmaker Bangladesh has joined the growing list of producers and collaborators for Leona Lewis' upcoming sophomore album.
Bangladesh's previous production credits include Lil' Wayne's "A Milli", Beyonce "Diva" & "Video Phone", Ludacris "What's Your Fantasy?", Ciara "Hotline", Kelis "Bossy", and Mario's latest single "Break up".
Also recently confirmed for Leona's new album was producer/songwriter Toby Gad, who was responsible for Beyonce's hit "If I Were A Boy" as well as Fergie's chart topping smash "Big Girls Don't Cry".
Leona's new album is due in November. Also expect production from Timbaland, Ryan Tedder, Xenomania, Justin Timberlake, and Aqualung.

Everyone does it. Waiting for the good music here.

Leona hires Jacko dance guruLEONA LEWIS has only ever played a handful of live shows, but that's all about to change. She is teaming up with TRAVIS PAYNE, the dance guru behind MICHAEL JACKSON's ill-fated comeback gigs, for a spectacular 14-month world tour. And her record label have told her: "Money is no object." Leona has been finalising the details of the elaborate gigs in between recording sessions for her second album in Los Angeles. Her record label boss SIMON COWELL has taken a special interest in the arrangements for the shows, which will have a Garden Of Eden theme. I'm told: "Everyone at SyCo is determined to transform Leona into a global touring powerhouse. She has proved she can sell millions of records, so the next logical step is for her to pack out arenas. Travis, who choreographed Jacko's This Is It shows, is on board. And discussions have been held with FRANCO DRAGONE, the creative director of some of CELINE DION's biggest gigs. "It's a case of hiring the best talent in the business at any cost to make sure the concerts will be one of the talking points of next year." Vixen The shows will be staged from next summer onwards and will be very stylised. The source added: "The Garden Of Eden theme will allow Leona to showcase two sides to her character: The angelic songbird, and the less well-behaved R&B vixen." But before the jaunt begins, Leona is going to undertake some serious training. The source said: "Since Leona has played so few full-length concerts she's still quite a raw performer. And if she's going to pack out arenas she needs some polish. "She's been having lessons with a confidence coach in a bid to improve her stage presence. "It's a huge step to make from relative novice to playing to arenas of 20,000, so understandably she needs guidance." I have every confidence my favourite X Factor champ will crack it in time. The Yanks have got plenty of arena-packing pop stars including BEYONCE and CHRISTINA AGUILERA. It's about time we Brits had a serious rival to them - and Leona's just the girl. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/2542148/Leona-Lewis-hires-Michael-Jacksons-dance-guru-to-help-her-14-month-world-tour.html

She might do smaller shows in the US and the big ones in the UK and other European countries depending how the second album goes down.

I'm glad a lot of money and effort is going into making her tour interesting, because she certainly can't. Saw her play at a radio gig in London last month, sweet voice, but dull as a post! No stage presence at all.

Who else do you know that can sell a million albums off the back of one live performance on TV.

Exactly. It seems people just criticize for the sake of having something negative to say. 80% of the contributions to the Kelly Clarkson threads are with regards to her weight, meanwhile Leona is often criticized for her personality. Why can't people just accept an artist for their music?

Who else do you know that can sell a million albums off the back of one live performance on TV. Most people at the Leona message boards? 'Most people' weren't there to see her at all. I saw hundreds of people in my section alone arrived after she came on. Everyone was in a frenzy about some UK boyband reuniting (can't remember their name). She was a side-note in the middle of the afternoon. She didn't 'kill' anything. She sang well, but people were strolling around, talking to one another, going to go and get food and the audience response was pretty muted in comparison to a lot of other people. Even people like Akon had people more excited (whilst obviously not having the awesome vocals Lewis has)...glued to their seats. Kelly Clarkson wiped the floor with her vocally AND had the place in a frenzy (the perfect mix really). Not that that's my point. My point is, it's good her people are sparing no expense to make her live show thrilling, because she certainly won't be (she'll bring the vocal chops though, no doubt).

It's always good to hear things from another perspective but YouTube videos from the concert prove otherwise.

It wasn't just Leona boards that said she did great I remember from the live feed the radio presenter said how the whole audience were singing along with her when she sang Run plus they were loads of twitter updates about how amazing she was.
Everyone's opinion will differ though I guess.

She has ONE more chance to breakout in the US. I hope her label understands she 1000% has to release an uptempo for her 1st single, otherwise, she can just camp out at the Eiffel Tower to live cuz AMERICA is not going to pay her no mind.
Leona, while talented, needs to do a couple things. 1) Work on her personality 2) Work on stage presence 3) Hang out with black people and make some black friends
*So sick of her hanging out with only Caucasian people. She is mixed and needs to embrace her other half. Also, she stood up Obama earlier this year to promote her flop single I WILL FLOP. HOW DARE SHE!!!

If she wants to stop selling albums then yeah she should release an uptempo...better yet throw in some rent a rapper to remix it. Cause all that is working so well for a certain other artist she is often compared to. FYI, she didn''t "stood up" anyone. Get your facts straight.

tsw2008, when Leona has her first 10 singles reach #1 on Pop get back to me.
Oops! She only had 1 #1 (Damn, who doesn't?) and the rest are flops. While Leona and Mariah do get compared to a lot (both beautiful, light-skinned amazing singers), one UNDERSTANDS the music business and other doesn't.
Mariah knows she needs to update her music which is why she has hits EVERY YEAR for 20 years. While Leona is still living in the 90s releasing Celine Dion/Music Box type songs. Sit that a$$ down LeLe. Also Mariah isn't racist and loves to hang out with both white and black, while LeLe hangs out with only white people. That's why Black Americans do NOT claim LeLe.
