Not produced by Timbaland. Either way the song sucks and the project is turning into a new fantasy ride.

It's just the demo, guys. Sounds nice too. Hope it makes the album. Though when I heard the title, "Don't Let Me Down", I was expecting it to be an attitude-laden uptempo--a la "U+Ur Hand" or "Before He Cheats."

I like her vocals on the song, that's about it. It's too long, the lyrics don't flow properly, and the hook is weak. Could be good with some major reworking but that's pointless now the demo's leaked. Hope it doesn't make the album.
James Fauntleroy wrote it and Justin produced.

Sounds like filler to me. Nice track and all, definitely better than what I ever imagined something Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (whether he's involved or not) associated to sound like, but not quite there yet. It's still a demo I know. I like the bridge most, dislike the common backing beat.

After a few listens, I really enjoy the melody of the song--it flows well and is pleasant to the ears. However, I find the lyrics to the chorus especially weak; how many times is the word "down" repeated? Most importantly, to me, is that her vocals sounds incredible, so overall I am pleased with the track.

Eh, I don't like it. The other leaked demos are way stronger.

After a few listens, I think this track is gorgeous.
Its so anti-Leona, avoids any big notes, folky and just gorgeous vocals.
I love the way she can get that ethereal sound, like Enya.

You don't think its tired by-the-numbers 'Americanized' rhythmic ballad Timbaland/Tedder bread and butter? That surprises me. Actually, wait, it doesn't. It's LEONA we're talking about this. If it were any other American starlet's demo you'd be complaining about its unoriginality. A little objectivity never hurt anybody.

It probably wouldn't hurt you to actually download and listen to it before posting comments. Its not a TImbaland/Tedder track either, which would have known if you had read the above posts.

I've listened to it. On YouTube. I know full well it's not a Timbaland/Tedder track my point is it sounds exactly like a by the numbers ethereal 'ballad beat' song. You'd be saying the same if it wasn't Leona singing it.

Which one is it like? It kind of reminds me of "all good things" by Nelly Furtado, which I adore. BTW They started playing this on the Virgin radio in Canada, I didn't think they were allowed to do that.

So it was written by James Fauntleroy & produced by The Y's? I like it a lot; but I don't think it's a hit. It's definitely no "Bleeding Love."

So they claim they didn't want the public feedback on these songs then? If true than that's too bad.

Don't Let Me Down (Feat. Justin Timberlake) - Produced by Timbaland has leaked! I like it :) Very laid back, just the sort of material I was expecting Timbaland to give her. Great vocals too but not strong enough for lead single on first listen. Probably won't make the album now with such an early leak!

Simon is on the warpath, Billboard Magazine is running the storey.

Simon Cowell Calls Police To Hunt Leaked Leona, Alexandra Songs
When The Sun runs a story that an unreleased Leona Lewis song has been stolen by “hackers” from computers at Simon Cowell’s Syco label, one tends smells a pre-release publicity stunt. But, paidContent:UK is assured by both the IFPI, BPI and Syco parent Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music that a genuine international police hunt is now underway…
We are told the incident involves not just an unmastered collaboration between X-Factor winner Lewis and Justin Timberlake, but also material from her X-Factor successor Alexandra Burke, and possibly others. Sony Music says: “We’ve pinned down two separate systems that it’s come from. It’s more than one track from each of them.”
The labels tells paidContent:UK “international police and American police” are investigating, in tandem with both the International Federation for the Phonographic Industry and the British Phonographic Industry. We understand the investigation is centreing on specific individuals within Syco.
“There are various networks that have been earmarked and are at the centre of these investigations,” Sony Music’s spokesperson says.

Oh wow. That's crazy. I hope they find whoever did this!
BTW, Leona was in NYC yesterday recording with Max Martin. Adam Lambert was recording with Max the day before and a bit of yesterday as well, so perhaps there's a possible collaboration in the works for Adam's album with Leona? That would make alot of sense to me since they're sharing the same producers (RedOne, Max Martin) as well as management team (19E).

If her album is going to be released in November. We should be getting a new single by September? If not, they are really pushing it to the end of the year.

I would expect a single by late September or first week of October at the latest. Bleeding love debuted mid September with the album dropping in early November. This time I expect a late November release date for the album so the single should drop about two-three weeks later than Bleeding Love did.

Alexandra's single is premiering sometime in the next week, so I would think they'll give that a few weeks to build up before premiering Leona's. Mid-Sept to Early-Oct sounds about right.
