Kelly just mentioned in a UK interview that she'd love to do a song with Pink, that she loves her, but she's afraid, vocally, that Pink would wipe the flool with Kelly's face..lol...but she's still up for it anyway. Kelly's down-home humility is one of her best qualities, in my opinion. I agree that humility is a virtue, but it's the over-humility that has always frustrated me with Kelly. It's the same thing with Leona Lewis. Both are complimented everywhere they go for their vocals and are way up there when it comes vocal prowess... How can they not know how good they are? Kelly could outsing P!nk anytime and Kelly has to know it. She doesn't have to state that it would be the other way around. Just saying she loves P!nk's voice would be humble enough, but saying P!nk is vocally better than her is a little too much... JMHO.

I respect your opinion and your right to it, but believe it or not, plenty of people in this world don't know how talented and/or smart they are compared to their peers and/or colleagues. Not everyone develops the kind of self-image that lets them walk around with uber confidence.

I believe it was some of the people from AI, the judges and maybe the vocal coach, that said the Kelly has no idea how good she is.

I mean, I'd rather her stay this sweet and humble, but at the same time, I wish she would just come across as more confident when it comes to her voice. She is just amazing and has received compliments about her voice from the biggest names in music (Reba, Mariah, etc) for years. I want her to believe it and not let it get to her head, if that makes sense.

The best thing about Kelly, aside from her voice, is her sweet girl-next-door quality. She hasn't let the glitz and glamor of show biz go to her head or screw up her life.

In conclusion: Kelly is great, and Kelly is humble. The end. LOL.

A Kelly Clarkson theme week? *cringes at the idea of anybody else singing Sober* I cringe at the idea of anyone singing Sober, Kelly included. I don't think she ever gave a really good performance of that song. I personally thought it should have been kept in the album and not released. It was way too high for her to perform repeatedly. The thing about LWS is that it will be an easy song for her to sing live. I CANNOT wait to hear her live version, maybe even a slower, acoustic version like she did with SUBG. That would be so great!

I don't think "Life Would Suck" is that easy to sing live.

I don't think it means she thinks she can't sing well- i think it's just means she likes how Pink sings and that's not out of the ordinary, Pink is a hell of a fantastic singer, it's not like she is saying Jessica Simpson would mop the floor with her.

Yeah, it was hard for her to sing SUBG Live as well, I saw her do it a couple of times not very well which is why I was happy she chose "Because of You" at the Grammy Awards to sing because SUBG could have been a disaster.

She sang it perfectly on the STAR lounge show...it's just audio, but that acoustic performance of never again and sober are some of my favorites of her. I know what you mean though--it was a really inconsistent song of hers. LWS doesn't have the range Sober or SUBG has, and I think she'll kill it live (probably infuse it with higher/lower notes like she started doing with Never Again). To be fair, she seemed to really learn how to take care of her voice on this last tour...she sounded consistently fantastic and able to hit her high notes. I hope she is able to maintain that and become a bit more "consistent" in her live performances, because Kelly live is one of a kind.

24 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... RCA/RMG 2009 2591 521 2070
Others will post more stats later this morning, but I just wanted to be the first to say there was a great overnight move for Kelly. She jumped over John Legend's 'Green Light' and is now up to #24 on Mediabase Mainstream Top 40, with a very strong bullet.
She'll pass David Cook (#23) soon, maybe later today or by tomorrow morning. Then it's a straight shot into the top 20, as the next three songs in #22, #21 and #20 all are falling sharply with big negative moves downward.

Yup, and I have to agree with Music on this....it is part of Kelly's charm, and likability I think. She has to have confidence in her voice, or she would not have kept pursuing a career out of it. But she is so humble and not a show off about it. Girl HAS substance...and it is a fine line between confidence and cockeyness IMO. She walks the line just fine. Pink and Kelly song, I would be for that!

Kelly's sure getting around (big props to RCA and Starstruck so far). Kelly was on 107.5 The River in Nashville for another great interview, which you can stream on their website: 1075theriver.com/pages/personality_wj.htmlLOL @ Kelly talking about her and Clive braiding hair and backpacking to 4-star hotels in Europe. Kelly also talks about her second home in Belle Meade/Nashville, Tennessee in Part II of the interview ;)

Yes, that is why the "braiding hair" comment gave me a chuckle. In every interview this era, there have been questions about her present relationship with Clive. She basically starts if off with a joke only to say that she is great with her label and that the media made a bigger deal about it than it really was. I truly believe that Kelly is smartly giving a "PC" answer to stay away from that subject. Go Kelly and Starstruck !

Coincident with Top 12 night on AI? I wonder if she'll be appearing that week. The single must be moving faster than they anticipated.
